"Indeed, it’s rare, these days, to see a performer anywhere in the world as dedicated to his art, and so masterful at it, too." (from one of those articles)

SO TRUE!! Perfectly said! I love the reviews, these people know when they see genius! biggrin

I have a big smile on my face reading the enthusiastic reviews!!! EVERYBODY LOVES PRINCE!!! biggrin

(At least all those who have had the chance to see him live recently!)

" Dearly beloved , " Prince said at the start of the concert in Lets Go Crazy "we are gathered here today to get through this thing called life..."

Leaving the venue, someone wondered out loud what possibly could follow a gig like this.

The answer lies in the same song:" Afterlife " ( gulfnews.com )

a Princeconcert can only be topped by another Princeconcert cool cool

biggrin Exactly!!! Only Prince himself can put on a better concert than the one before!!! And that's why we can only get that sort of thrill at the next Prince concert!

great reviews indeed ... I was there in Antwerp, and I'm still on my cloud ... I've heard Purple Rain a thousand times on record, and +/- 10 times live, but this was the first time I cried tears of pure joy and emotion ... it feels like he finally is at ease with himself (and his rich body of work) ... his both sides co-existing and showing the best of this ultimate musician ... he evens starts to dance again (okok not like in the old days, but he's 52 after all) ... no truly America, u are in 4 a real treat here with the upcoming tour ... let the Funk rule !!!

Isn't the earliest thing on there is Peach? Which was release back during the Mayte years. Kinda weird, like nothing since Peach is worth playing? Look like he would have 3-5 Jams on there since Peach.

I so Agree with U..........He has some INCREDIBLE songs that could b performed..and YET....we don't hear them...Xcept for the ONES who have followed his career and KNOWS the songs from the last few years I guess would APPRECIATE.......People in general have NO idea what Prince has created in his full career..........SAD

^^

I do think it's still worth seeing it, but especially sicne he is so on fire, I feel he should trade some of those songs from others with some of his own recent ones, like some of the rockers from lotusflower.

I haven't seen him live since 1991, so I didn't mind the playlist at all wink Was happy to hear all the "old" hits. I'm sure there will be more new stuff in is regular tour...
