London and Amsterdam to be added to the tour list?

I heard rumours that negociations are still ongoing. Does any other orger have news on this?

I love Prince and chocolate - in that order

It's very short time by now. Tix are not running fast on the other shows.

And with Belgium not sold out, i doubt if Amsterdam (Arena?) is going to be added.

Ticket sales are indeed a problem already, so if additional cities are added to the schedule I bet they should be smaller venues. Wouldn't hold my breath for that, though. Mmmh... we'll see!

'exclusivity' is a relative term for P. He could do a gig at the Heineken Bierhal in Amsterdam (aka HMH). If that's a wise decision ($$$ versus risk) is up to him.

My suggestion: Just do an aftershow in Berlin and have a rest...

Bierhal falloff

DAT was grappig razz, Maybe Gelredome XS? Guns and Roses was announced earlier this week.

Indeed, an a-typical, yet mid-size venue would suit him well.

It would be safe on the ticketsales-side, give initmate atmosphere quite easily.

I can still see him adding London as it would sell out in minutes. Hyde Park has been rumoured.

Londen would sell out very easily for one venue.

Gelredome would atract a lot of the Dutch mainstream fans who don't go to Werchter (or havent heard of this concert). I think it's a great idea.

Would be fun to arrange a concert at such relative short notice - a nice challenge biggrin

By the way - I would prefer a cookie razz

This "tour" is the non-event of the year.

Indeed. The handling, communication etc around these events leave a lot to be desired.

Waldbuhne is just about the same size as the Gelredome, and it is not sold out yet. With the gigs being in about a month from now, i'm afraid it is not going to happen.

I agree that adding London might be a (better) idea.

Gelredome is indeed to big for Prince nowadays. Ahoy or even HMH are better options, especially the HMH as that is just around the corner for me biggrin

What dates? What looks good? Sorry, I don't get the connection. There's a venue in London that has some free dates . . . . so Prince looks like he'll be playing there??!! Help me out here. I'd LOVE to see him play the Albert Hall believe me, but from where is your optimism? confused

Well he's coming to london this week, good, he's got gigs in 3 or 4 european cities, it would just be plain rude not to pop into london and say hello...lol

I heard the Amsterdam (Westerpark) rumour as well. but nothing more than that.

though i do not think he will do that as this tour is focussing on bigger venues if he decides to come it probably will be Gelredome which can handle bigger audiences.

we do not stop playing because we grow old , we grow old because we stop playing

He would be wiser adding a small venue. How many people fit in the Westerark?

Depending on ticket-price, this might even be to big.

maybe he could better do smaller venues with higher prices for the more hard core fan.

seems to me that that would be nicer for Prince (as he does not have to do the greates hits, but play what he likes) and the fans get better value for money. On an indoor show wich works better for prince)

Westerpark would sell out because it's great location, open air & in the middle of the city. On the other hand, this creates restrictions for P. Live At Westerpark is an event that is only one week per year in July, headliners are already confirmed, not P.

HMH would be great, I love HMH!

I don't think it would sell out with the current prices P asks. Just to much. If he played for 31.21 or something in that range (below 50 euro), the story is different of course.

The place was purpose built for its acoustics i.e sound. Therefore it has a great sound whatever style of music is played...

...unfortunately Prince is not playing there this Summer so you'll never know how he might sound there.

Ah ok. Thanks for telling me - good to get info from people in the know. Any more inside info you have about where Prince definitely isn't playing this year?

Oh, and for the record, the Albert Hall was built for orchestral and acoustic music, not funk.

Hmm. The 02 was supposedly rebuilt inside for it's acoustics too. Where you at the 2007 shows?

Shit sound compared to a lot of indoor arenas..
