d) A reason why the fickle finger of (sister) fate should point in your direction this week (keep it brief, folks...remember, I gotta read all these!)

(and yes, you have to include ALL this info for your entry to be valid...be lucky i don't take points off for spelling! )

One more important matter: ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER SITE.

If you enter both here and on HQ, that's fine, though it does not mean you can win twice. If you enter multiple times on either site, you are at risk of being disqualified. And it's REALLY annoying. So don't do it!

And another helpful FYI, folks who live in the NYC area are going to have a better chance than those who don't. If you are not local to the area but can prove without a shadow of a doubt that you will be in NYC this weekend, we will consider your entry.

In short: If you have any doubt you can be there, DON'T ENTER.

I'm in! Just moved back 2 NYC from Southern California after 10 years and could really use a Prince fix! Things are a bit tough here right now...

seriously. if you don't live in the NYC area and you're chosen as a winner, we will need PROOF that you are already scheduled to be in NYC on the 10th.

sorry to be so hardcore about it, but we really can't risk having anyone flake out on an opportunity like this. once we announce winners, we want to feel secure that those winners can make it to the gig.

plus, with all the love prince has given the west coast and the midwest over the past few years, i think it would be fitting to let the locals in NYC have some fun with the man, don't you?

i'm not saying out-of-towners won't be considered...but if you get picked, we'd better feel REALLY confident that you have a flight picked out and you're on your way.

Just out of curiosity, did Prince (or folks in his camp) have anything to do with this contest?

I think for a lot of us, it would be nice to know that--after the PFU fiasco and the YouTube take-downs--Prince is actually making gestures of goodwill toward his fans through his top fan sites.
