Well.. his previous thread was quite useful to the people who were ripped off by Ticketmaster and AEG, I personally have exchanged very important information through it.If you were not affected by it, let us discuss it please.
Thanks Wolfy!!!

I totally agree, Wolfy's threads & some of the others on the subject have been a massive help for those of us dealing with the VIP issue! I have referred to them over & over again in the last few months when sorting out my complaint.
The fact that they were locked only goes to show how significant some of that info was!

I agree, the 'customer gratuity' I received from AEG was pretty much generated by the complaints they recived from org'ers, so that's how AEG were aware the VIP was a joke and were trying to settle it while the concerts were still on at the O2.

If your not interested by the post, don't reply to it, I'd guess the people who are sick of the VIP posts did not hand over £250 per person to AEG ?

my first reaction when i saw this thread was to say Shut UP, but I thought for a few seconds and realised that it is an issue that should be dealt with, I was very close to getting some of those VIP tickets but waited as I was not sure if I would have been in London or not.

I was stung once with a VIP scam for a U2 concert in Vienna and at the time I was also angry, but it was nothing on the scale of what went on at the topic discussed here.

i hope that those of you that were scammed will get something back, but I doubt it, but that does not mean that it should be forgotten

Peace n b wild

The various VIP threads have been helpful over the last few months , yeah, it was a bit annoying having sooo many of them, without them i think people would not have got their money back..

Hi Wolfy

Congratulations on the refund.

I wrote to ticketmaster and got a letter in reply saying it was being investigated, did you speak to them over the phone? I was dealing with the Manchester office to try and get my VIP tickets swapped before the gig back in August when I knew they were bad, which TM office have you been dealing with for the refund ?

i really dont want 2 say much more on this subject cause its a closed one 4 me n i want 2 put it behind me as a bad Xperience.
i guess cause i got my dosh back i got a free concert n drinks n food but i was promised the best seat in the house as a VIP customer n where i was placed was in F2 behind cora n only got 2 c prince around 5 times during the show as i couldnt c what was happening with the restricted view n it was on those grounds i got a full refund.

at the end of the day it was not the £££ but the principle of the matter n i was not the only person who suffered terrible views @ the 02.
i paid £239.95 4 my ticket when they first went on sale back n may n i thought i was gonna have a great time 4 the £££...sadly i was mistaken.
i just hope everyone gets there £££ back now n we can all look 4ward 2 the next prince tour where i hope i will get 2 meet U all.
having said all that i saw 18 shows n total @ 02 plus several aftershows including dr john n as a whole i did njoy myself 4 the majority of my time there n it was a once off thing cause im never again doing multiple shows 4 prince.

it was something i could not turn down n when i sleep at night i can still hear prince singing,,,ohhhhh funky london....
peace n love,

Please Irish wolf speak for yourself!!!I don't think he was thinking about himself, it just happened that he could get a refund!!If anything he was very useful to us opening this thread, but for the other ones affected by the VIP rip off, it's up to us to seek refund. Its upto everyone to pursue their own VIP claim with AEG/Ticketmaster, what these threads have shown is that if you have a valid claim and are persistent at complaining to AEG/Ticketmaster, they will deal with your complaint and give refunds (after lots of complaining!!!). They are not going down a list and seeing who was affected by poor VIP tickets, so you need to press them, they will only respnd if you keep at them !.

These threads have shown it is not a fruitless task in pursuing a claim, I for one am pursuing my claim with Ticketmaster.

These threads have also given a good warning to fans on what you can expect from VIP packages, I for one would never touch a VIP Package again, but with the possibility of another tour next year in Europe/US, fans should now know the risk they take, though in the US it would be fascinating to see the litigation generated by our experience of VIP, if Prince likes courts for suing for use of his image, he better put on his extra strong underpants to deal with the ass whipping he'd get in US courts !!!

I don't think Irish can win on this, if he posts about it, people tell him to stop whining, if he posts he's got a refund and the issue is finished for him, people complain he isn't interested in anyone else and only did it for himself. Well, the fact is £240 per ticket is allot of money, we were all stronger at winning claims if we all complained together, and the information we have all learned off each other has helped/encouraged people to win their own claims, so its upto individuals to chase their own case.

Good luck to everyone and a merry Xmas.

I'm guessing Irish opened this new thread to let people know he got a refund, so he's happy its been resolved for him and wanted to let everyone else know, I for one have contacted ticketmaster again to argue my case after this.

There are plenty of other threads Irish has started/posted for VIP refunds/complaints that have lots of useful information in them, so its best they are not locked/deleted, unlike this one, but I prefer if threads are not deleted generally, there maybe information in there other might want to read, I'm not sure why mods would wanna delete threads unless there is something offensive/in-accurate/liable in them.

Anyways, i'm no apologist for Irish, I just think its fair to put the other side of the argument as I see it.

Markland, I take it you've been ripped off by the VIP tickets like me? are you pursuing this with AEG/Ticketmaster ?

No, I have been trying to help people get their money back with advice on how to claim against those responsible

Irish in legal terms doesn't even qualify for compensation as he, by his own admission in his posts, took an offer at the time instead of claiming compensation

Now as he has his money his attitude is the "vip ripoff is resolved"

And screw the many others who have certainly more legitimate entitlement to compensation than he does

The issue isn't resolved and I know of a dozen or more people who have not received a penny yet

Frankly, I can't abide self centered, selfish people and I hope the money he received chokes him
