Forever in my Life, had only asked for it weeks beforehand and never thought I'd hear it.

The whole of 14th Aug main show
Sept 9th aftershow, the best night of my life ever
Sept 21st when he said he had to get his shades as he had tears in his eyes, then later as he told us were too funky and had to get a new passport!

Controversy, the purple glowstick effect, Black sweat, Guitar!!!
EVERYTHING since the beginning of August really!!
I love you Baby, you know the rest...

Last aftershow..... following a month of obsessing I was worried I might feel let down after spending a silly sum on my ticket. Not a chance. Absolutely incredible.

Chelsea Rodgers blew me away.

Controversy live was amazing

The first concert I went to was sat in E1 and Prince was just infront of me playing I Feel For you next to Maceo. 2 of my childhood heroes together playing one of my favourite songs a coiuple of feet from my face. Cue buying tickets for another 6 mainshows and 7 aftershows.

Being able to see one of those 21 concerts live

august the 14th.

It made my year.

I think I catched a cool concert as well, with "1999" (for the first time on that tour) "Forever In My Live", "Somewhere here On Earth" (for the first time on that tour).

Loved every minute!

The opening to the 11th Aug show, when he was revealed to Purple Rain. I couldnt stop shaking!

When he kept repeating "He only knew her for a little while..." on the final encore 21/09. One of my favourite songs, only my brain was so fried I couldnt place the lyrics. As soon as he said "Girls and Boys..." I freaked out!!! biggrin biggrin

11th show was my first.... walking in to the Hall and down the steps to the floor to Purple Rain made me a very happy person indeed!

* My first ever Prince concert on 4th August and almost being reduced to tears upon hearing Purple Rain for the first time

* Same concert, start of second encore...just Prince and guitar strumming the opening chords to Little Red Corvette.

* Final night, seeing a sea of purple glowsitcks at 8:30!

* Final night, meeting so many great Orgers and hearing about their stories. Such as the Scottish guy who lost his bag and tickets on the way down but managed to get front row ticket at 7:50, and Dan who so wanted an aftershow ticket and then meeting him in the Indigo after he managed to get one.

* Final night, so many encores...and the final one with the house lights up for When You Were Mine!

* Final night, curtains pull back at aftershow...there's Amy Winehouse.

* Final night, after show goes on to 4:15 and realising that Prince wants to be there as much as we do!!!! God damn, he spoilt us!!

1. When You Were Mine on 21st!!! lol

2. Opening with 1999 on the 14th

3. The 'surprise' encore on 31st

4. Forever in my life on the 14th

5. Lets Go Crazy on 20th - my only night in the upper tier, the white light around him while he shouted 'dearly beloved....dearly beloved....dearly beloved' looked fantastic from that position.

Also loved a group of people in the queue to the aftershow on 31st singing Alphabet St complete with 'Cat' doing the rap - v. good. Was that any of you?

On the downside...having to sell my tickets for afterhow on 14th august and only making it to two more - he didn't show at either. sad

Highlight - was going with my then girlfriend on the very 1st night, and 2 the aftershow, having met her nearly 5 years previously on the one night alone tour and both just being overwhelmed by how amazing he was.

Lowlight - having broken up with her during the months that followed, and watching the last night main show without her next to me, and really feeling Nothing Compares 2 u in a way i've never previously felt it... but then going to the aftershow and getting a text from her saying she was behind me, pulling her through the crowd, and enjoying 3 hours of magic with her by my side, even if we are just mates now....

Even tho i only made it to 3 gigs and 2 aftershows, the excitement every day of reading the updates on prince.org and talking to friends and colleagues who went to the shows, and the amazing vibe he generated in London, and friends who always quesitoned my love of Prince telling me the final night gig will stay with them as the best gig they've ever been to..

Plus Amy Winehouse; Beverly Knight; Purple Glowsticks; "The One"; making new friends, completely losing my voice at 3am from singing falsetto and screaching, ;the Koko gig; turning up to give a 9am presentation to my senior boss, and twice having to explain to him i'd been out till 3am watching Prince, and him being fine with it, as a fan himself.....Being so close to Prince at the aftershows, feeling very privileged indeed!

Yep, night of 9 September was fantastic - the aftershow party was something else - met some great people. This was from queueing for tickets after the main show (on my own!!), chatting then partying with some lovely people who were real die-hard fans and others (inc my mate) who'd become a believer after the main show! Shelby - what a voice, especially in the aftershow!!

Hearing Chelsea Rogers and Girls & Boys live for the first time was fab... and I'm sure during the main show, he looked straight at me when he sang Shhh, with the question - "Am I getting you hot??" Unforgettable stuff....

And have to say thanks to the nice guy I met in the street outside who let me share his cab!! Couldn't have planned the night better myself - still on a high 2 weeks after!

Thanks Prince - and to the org! A summer which was very special!
....Have had my + today!

- A Love Bizarre/Chelsea Rodgers during the final encore on the 13th September
- The 21st mainshow and aftershow

Without a doubt! opening with the guitar medley was awesome! But the piano medley(always my favourite part of all his concerts) was even more special. How come you dont call me../DO ME BABY/The Beautiful ones AND condition of the Heart- back to back!!!! Untouchable!

My sister (Domebaby69)telling me to text her straight away what the first song is (14th Aug) cuz someones started a thread, and what a treat it was to announce the first opening of 1999!!!, only for this to turn into a continual live feed. Everytime I text a song my sister text back how many Org'ers were viewing the feed! Initially early on with a hundred Org'ers linked in I felt I like I was doing something very special! When the show had finished there were more than 2000 of you guys viewing the thread!!!! I floated home that night!

The Miracle of getting hold of 14 aftershow tickets for the 21st Sept well after it had all sold out, at face value! And then passing them on to fellow org'ers for exactly the same price that I paid! That felt really good!

The best bit of all though, was randomly meeting some of you lot over the course of the shows, especially on the 21st. I really can not imagine how it will ever get any better than what that entire day had to offer!!!

Oh, one more thing.....

Garlic Parmessan Chips!!!!(drenched with that synthetic mustard) DAMN!!!!!

So many memories, but I will narrow it down to the ones that stood out for me:

1) The sea of glow sticks when I entered the arena, out of breath to take my seat, i was totally shocked at how beautiful the area looked, I will never forget it. brought a tear to my eye.

2) Having to kick Brian May (from Queen) out of our seats, as there was a mix up, in block 102.

3) dancing with my bestest friend at the same show, to every single song, we kicked ass, and should've been on that stage!

4) Prince medleys on he piano, I went to 12 shows, and they still affected me. He wa at his most relaxed, apart from the aftershows, and most of all having fun biggrin

5) The last aftershow, when Amy Winehouse appeared and sang with Prince by her side, awesome. the night was amazing.

ps. it's so nice hearing others memories. x

So many fantastic memories from every single show I have been to this summer, none has disappointed me, so it’s hard to list them all, but here are the most unforgettable:

1st August Aftershow – My first Prince live experience *ever* (yes, I know), and he played Stratus, one of my favorite instrumentals, I was taken aback!

18th August Aftershow – The rose petals on the stage, Prince’s feathery hat, his tangerine outfit and teasing mood. Superstition, The Rules, Maceo blowing his horn right before me and the eccentric funky vibe throughout the whole show, oh, and the silvery envelope incident! neutral (http://prince.org/msg/12/240346)

1st Sept Aftershow – Super cool sound of Thank you for Talking to me Africa and Sing a Simple song, Prince’s far out guitar solos, Shelby plunging into the front of the audience whilst still singing, Get On the Boat with will.i.am from Black Eye Peas, the vibrant crowd atmosphere and the unexpected encore after the curtains had closed and people were leaving the Indigo2.

12th Sept Aftershow – One jazzy aftershow!
Vula’s amazing voice, that young bass player’s – not sure what his name was - who gave us an astounding solo and Mike Phillips walking down the stairs, and disappearing into the crowd whilst playing his saxophone… Now you see him, now you don’t. But boy, we could hear him!

13th Sept A/show – The most surreal show EVER:
For starters, Renato’s beautiful piano solo, followed by the enchanting Around the World in a Day, amazing guitar solo on Whole a lot a Love, the high of Come Together and the climax, when Prince invited *me* eek to dance onstage rainbow. I got so high I had to wear leaded shoes for the next 2 weeks!

Last Main Show 21st Sept
The joy when finally getting hold of those tickets. The purple glow sticks filled arena, Prince jumping up and down on Housequake and the emotion felt during Sometimes it Snows in April. Waking up the next morning with no voice. Realising the summer was over. sad

Obviously, only a glimpse of the whole experience…
