Was anyone else interviewed by Prince's 'photographer'?

I was pulled out of the queue on Friday night by this guy with a camera. I didn't think to even ask him his name! I honestly thought he was lying when he told me that he was going to ask me a couple of questions and "not to put any pressure on you...but Prince is going to see this." I thought, yeah, right!

So he asked me a bunch of questions like "What do you think of Intellectual Property?", "What do you think of File Sharing?", "Do you know of any other artists that allow their fans into the soundchecks?", "How do you hear about new music?", and "What do you think about record companies and are they on their way out?".

Pretty much just bootlegging and the record companies are crap type issues.

But then he started to confuse me when he started asking stuff like..."What do you think about the war on Terrorism?" and "Should we bomb Iraq?" That's when I seriously doubted he had anything to do with Prince.

But then low and behold, there he was all night long taking photos of Prince while he was in concert! He was up on stage and also filming parts of it too. I started thinking how STUPID my answers were and a bunch of stuff that I would have loved to have said to/about Prince.

I'm also wondering where all those photos go to that he takes!

Anyway, so did anyone else get interviewed and what all did he ask you??

Outside the Embassy fiasco on Friday night he asked people to say something nasty about Prince. He said Prince wanted people to diss him on camera. Is this for a DVD or just his hotel TV? Anyway, at the time The Embassy door staff wouldn't let people in with guests, only Laminates. So many fans were upset and going home. Then they just changed there mind after half an hour and let everyone in. Prince only stayed for about 20 minutes and then split. Nothing happened - just a DJ playing the funk.

friday afterparty was a let down, we went away after 10 minutes. outside we were interviewd for 2 minutes. don't know what use he'll do...release it!

That Prince dissin'part looks like some sort of Fetish to me

I got interviewed on the friday altho i was a lil pissed
I got asked the same q's about file sharing etc, to which i said i thought it was great since it saves me lots of money! so that probably pissed him off if that is what he was after

I was interviewed on Friday as well. I got asked the same questions too. It was a little daunting, but the photographer reckoned I did well.

I saw the photographer again at the Marquee, so I asked him about what happens with what he films. He said that Prince watches them to guage peoples' thoughts about stuff, as he can't always go and ask for himself. Sometimes it's made into a documentary. Whether anyone else gets to see the documentary is anyone's guess. I mentioned that I got asked on stage that evening and the photographer said, yes he had filmed that too! I had wondered whether Prince had already seen the interview as he'd been looking at me during the show in a 'I've seen you somewhere before' sort of way. It's probably why I got invited up on stage, so I'm very glad I did the interview!
