Dropping the mic!

Just like to say that I thought that Prince recovered well last night when he dropped the mic in the middle of 'The Beautiful Ones' - Turning it around and dropping it again whilst sprawled on the stage floor...took me back to the Purple Rain days...class!

Yeah! Well spotted. I've seen a dozen shows and thats the first time that sort of thing happened. Just shows you the guy is human after all. Droppoing it again tried to make it look deliberate but we knew! Who cares though, eh?

Yes it was very out of character wasn`t it?

It just needed John Motson to add commentary ;

"superb vocal , lovely scream by the talented young American - oh my word he`s dropped it , but oh , he drops down and rolls around and - oh - what a superb recovery from the plucky Minneapolian , what a musical giant this litttle chap is ",

Standing in line I had lots of conversations about following him for 16 years , and how we had all aged and he hadn`t as much as we have.
Your point kind of begs the question will he age like a Val Doonican , or to be American will he turn into a cardie wearing Bing Crosby type (if so can you imagine the cardie ?) or will he be like Maceo and George Clinton ???

The Year 2020.

Prince live, sitting in a chair at front of the stage. No more dancing or guitar playing, just singing. He'll have a screen to the side of him, that faces the band. With eye recognition software, he'll give the command "On the one" and a hand appears on the screen to tell the band when to stop.

The Autocue for lyrics will be big, blocking many of us in the front from from seeing him. But we'll be too tired to care, as it took us all 30 minutes to race to the front with our walkers and sticks and dodgy hips!
