Aftershow Priority for the Vertically Challenged

My boundless joy at Aftershow last night was buoyed up by fact that I was surrounded by people under 5' 4''. I had an unobstructed view of Prince's side, front & behind. Why don't us little treasures get priority treatment as we won't be blocking anyone's view & all tall folk should be made to stand at the back- esp those v tall men who don't move/ dance/ respond in any way. Either that or we'll have to organise ourselves & overthrow those oppressing giants. Join me!

I agree big fellas at the back pls, plus i'm sure nothing but an ocean of women infront of him would please him no end!

Top tip for girlies, inspired by the man himself, Big shoes! Think pole dancing platforms! Just make sure you can actually walk & dance in them!

I have a wicked bootish pair that got me through an aftershow! i'd slet you see em if i could figure out how to put them on show.
Without restraint, there’d be no hesitation!

banish the non moving giants!

Last saturday I was stuck behind a bald giant who didn't move for 2 hours. He looked about 50+ with glasses and I wanted to shoot him.

I'm usually a nice person but in this instance I was not.

There was also this big girl in a thick woolly jumper stood next to me and kept looking at me. What was that all about??? Prince was doing the best show ever at the time. She's probably on here somewhere. er.. hi.

Surely the fairest way is to stick those below 5' 10" in the sloped balcony?

Best solution all round!

I have Buffalo shoes like the Spice Girls used to wear for the times when I need a 5" boost. lol

i'll second that - i was there last night (i'm 5ft 1) - SO near to the front...(2nd row)...yet still so far... as had tall person in front of me who kept on putting arms up (i know that's allowed, but still annoying)...we should all be arranged in height order like in a school photo...like you say, i'm sure P would prefer small women at the front rather than hefty, sweaty, big men!

What's with these idiots?!! Yeah yeah they're probably dancing inside and all that but c'mon!

Am loving the school photo style arrangement- I'm happy to kneel at the front in a gymslip, holding a netball if that's any help..

Think this is what they call a grassroots movement..C'mon people!

Do you get much jumping at the aftershow? I'd love to when I go but I'm not really sure it's the sort of music you can jump to.

I whole-heartedly agree. As a 6'6" (moving) giant I always stand at the back to let you shorties get a decent view. The result for me is that I am always miles away. If I move forward I just end up with a big V shape in the crown behind me. At the aftershow on the 28th I thought, "fuck it" and moved forward. Sorry to all you people who couldn't see but I had a good time (apart from someone obscuring my view with a prince tamborine).

booty!

so if you're tall you're not allowed to try to get close to Prince - what an unbelievably huge bag of wank!

and so there was a tall guy at the front not dancing - he paid his money and got there early and has just as much right to be at the front as anyone else.

I personally can't relate to the need to be close enough to smell the sweat from his balls but to have a go at tall people for wanting to be exactly whrere you want to be is just complete bollocks

Well excuse me! I happen to be petite, and at 5.1 I feel it is unfair for tall people to go to the front when they can still see everything from the back, or behind me. I have cheekily asked tall people to let me in front of them, no harm done, and they let me through. I didn't pay to watch someone's back all night. And because I had a few problems on an earlier aftershow, although that involved sweaty drunk peeps, I am going to wear high heels. So it's not about being close, (well okay for me it is) it's about seeing the main man perform.

if it's just about seeing the show then yeah fair enough - but realistically why would tall people get involved in the squeeze at the front unless it was cos they wanna be close to the stage - in which case they have just as much right to be there as anyone else - it's more selfish/unfair to say they have no right to get close the Prince just because they're tall -

bottom line if you wanna get that close - get there early whether you're short, tall, fat, thin, straight, gay, black, white or inbred

plus take solace from knowing how much more uncomfortable they are on planes - life is fair all in all haha

Before civil war breaks out within the ranks, I have a proposal. It's a form of height apartheid whereby the audience is split between tall & short attendees(definitions of which can be fought over)- right down the middle & further divided into those who wish to dance badly or stumble around hopelessly drunk or smell the sweat on his balls, as suggested above- or possibly all three. Or we can just have tall folk stand at the back- BUT with binoculars. Now surely that should leave everyone satisfied....
