Hmmm... I told him just last week that he popped up in my dream. I don't remember details, but there was an airport and an airplane involved.

One time I had this dream that I was in my grandma's old house and I walked into her old arts & crafts room and there was a mirror. I walked over to the mirror and saw that I was naked. I was totally caught by surprise because not only was I naked, but I had breasts and I was also pregnant!! When I saw that I was pregnant, I held my belly and actually felt the baby moving inside me!!!

How about this dream... My mom and I were walking through a forest. We stopped to try and figure out where we were when a very old black woman, easily in her 90s, came stumbling out of the brush, holding her stomach. We could see that she was pregnant and that she was giving birth. I really didn't have time to trip on the fact of how amazing it was that a 90something woman would be having a child.

So my mom and I ran to her and my mom had her lay down on the ground. My mom held her from behind and instructed me to help deliver the baby. I was really scared because I have never delivered a child. She started pushing and I could see the tip of it's head. I looked up at the old woman and instead of being the old woman, it was my mother who was giving birth. In that instant I was transported into her womb and I could feel myself being born!!! I started freaking out because I realized that I was grown and too big to come out of the womb. To help the process I extended my arm out of her vagina and could feel it being pulled. Then I woke up...

The dream seems to relate to seeing something in a new light, and there by experiencing a rebirth in regards to the dream's subject. Since the dream is dominated by mother, there ma have been a change in the relationship with mother, but my more indirectly relate to mother and instead refer to the qaulities of Mother.

The forest is a prime symbol of the unconscious - self-seeking and self-exploration. I can't say from the dream if the mother is there because something significant happened i that relationship, or if mother here is an internal guide. Stopping to figure things out may be literally taking time to try to figure something out.

Bushes hide things, and out of the unconscious, just as dreamer and mother are stopping to figure out where they are, what should pop into view but an long-held view the dreamer's mother. The dreamer may not have even been aware that this perception of mother existed within. As if to say, "Wait! This is how I see my mother?!"

So why a pregnant, 90 year-old black woman? Well, mostly it has to do with what the dreamer feels when imagining a 90 year-old black woman. I'm sure there are a lot of positive and dear emotions, but probably a lot of presumption as well. At 90, she wouldn't be expected to be so potent that she could give birth, she'd probably be so set in her ways that there wouldn't expect to see any surprises. Hmm. How uncharacteristic. In fact, white American males dreaming of black women are usually going through a time of seeking liberaton from habitual views and addictive behavior.

Possibly instinct taking over where the dreamer must have faith in what he unconsciously learned from mother. Nurturing and participation in the creation of something far grater then the dreamer himself. The key here is the trust in what the mother represents. The emergence of the baby's head is the emergence of the new thing, but also the rebirth of the dreamer.

There is the fear of the unknown and insecurity that what is rationally sound is that this thing cannot happen. Reaching is instinctive, and relates to taking what we want. But the dreamer is blind and only knows to reach into the unknown. From the dreamer's perspective, what happens from there is miraculous.

The dream touches on actual emotions a man experiences when witnessing the birth of his own child. It is humbling and life changing, and a man will be forever changed. The dream relates to the process of individuation wherein the dreamer may entirely change his views of women, including his own mother.

I wouldn't be surprised if the dreamer had witnessed a birth, but could not say if he had. I can say the dream relates to a profound event which has forever changed the dreamer.
