Am I an Alchoholic?

When I moved into my new place, my parents bought me a dining room set and a matching wine rack. So as I got settled in, I went and bought a bunch of bottles of wine to fill up the rack so it would look nice.

Now the problem is, I can't keep the damn rack full, I keep drinking all the wine! It's just been kind of spooking me lately because I can easily knock of a bottle of wine, if not more, in an hour or two. I'll pour a glass with dinner, and then sign online afterwards. Then as I'm online I'll go pour another glass to "sip" on while I get some work done on the computer. Next thing you know, I'm passed out on the couch with an empty bottle and an ashtray full of cigarette butts, infomercials playing on my TV, and my alarm clock going off in my bedroom.

By the end of the week my Wine rack looks empty, so I go down to Giant Eagle and pick up a bunch more bottles to fill it back up.

I hear people over in like France and other countries drink wine regularly with meals, sorta like how most people in the US drink pop perhaps.

I don't feel like an alchoholic, in fact I feel fine the rest of the day.

Input?

I don't think it's a big deal...I can drink a bottle of wine in about 3 glasses...I just don't drink it so often. I'd cut back to twice a week if I were you.

My best threads are created when I'm drunk (honestly).

My personal view is that the liver is evil and needs to be killed very slowly with alcohol poisoning. That'll teach the little bastard organ.

A bottle of wine doesn't go far. The glass must be thicker so there is less liquid in there smile

I have a limit on what I drink and 2 glasses is the most I will do in one night and that is almost a whole bottle...

Who can say? But, just be careful... when you get to the point that you can't do those things without opening a bottle of wine from that wine rack... then I'd start to worry.

Nah, that would just mean he had WAY too much wine... not that he was necessarily an alcoholic.

The only alcohol-problem you can have, is when there's no more alcohol in the house!

wine is not very good to drink everyday, It's good if you have high blood pressure because a glas a day of grape wine helps lower it, but I would take it easy.

I don't want to sound like a hipocrite (sp) but I can easily know down a 6 pack while cooking, but I do think you should pull the brakes a little.

Don't have a drink for a month. If you can't do it, no matter what the excuses, you have a problem.

I couldn't do that myself. The only reason would be if I were pregnant.
