Doing what I can - I need your help

I am on the verge of losing my home. I'm already working two jobs (a full-time position and a part-time position). But still need to come up with $2000 quickly. My sister pointed out to me that we come from a long line of "fighters" who do what they have to do to survive. Given my history, she's right. So, I've started a GoFundMe page, been looking into ways to sell my photographs, pushing my book on social media at various places. I had also joined EyeEm quite awhile back, a place to sell photographs, and if they feel they are good enough they'll post them to other places. I just got notification that they posted one on Getty Images.

I am rather excited about that! Hoping it sells, but I know that I won't get much of it, but hey! Every little bit helps right?

Please post your GoFundMe link so others here can help you out. I would then make your thread a sticky.

luv4u, thank you. I'm doing everything I can to earn the money myself that I need. The GoFundMe is just a last resort. But I am down to the wire. I've been debating whether to post it here or not, because I live my life helping others and it's just hard to ask anyone help for myself, especially since I'd been doing so well the past few years. IF anyone does help, if they would list their favorite charity, once I'm caught up on the house payment, I will make a donation to that charity in their name as I am able, to repay the kindness shown to me. It might not be much, but I will do what I can as I'm able.

Penny, I ended up having to turn it down. Right now they only have 10 patients, so it would be part-time until they build up the caseloads. However, they couldn't say when they expected to build the caseloads, whether it would be a month or 6 months, before I would be able to go full-time. I considered accepting it as a part-time job, but it would be considered a "conflict of interest" with my current position and would be a violation of our Scopes of Service with the state. I hated turning it down, but I have to have full-time employment. I'm still looking for something elsewhere.

In the meantime, I'm going to increase my hours with the part-time job. I've been avoiding working too many hours with it, because of my health issues, and needing to be home with my kids on the evenings that they are with me. I'm always up late at night anyway, on the nights that I don't have them, and have always had a hard time sleeping, so I may start closing. (Which would be from 6PM - time to get home and changed into my uniform - until 1AM or 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays). It will make for some long days, but we do what we have to in this life! lol I know my manager would give me all the hours I request there, she likes me and my work ethics. And if she isn't able to, one of the other stores, a few more miles away, is in desparate need of delivery drivers and I know they would give me the hours.

I'm also looking for some things I can do on the computer from home, on the nights I do have my kids, after they go to bed, or when they are busy with other things. I'm doing Squadhelp, it's a site where you come up with names for companies, and if they pick your name you can get anywhere from $100 to $300 per name. But the competition is stiff there and I've only won once - about a year ago.

Thank you for remembering and asking about the interview!

Best Wishes Benni!

I crochet a lot and this winter made scarves and hats to sell, I think I ended up giving more away for presents then I sold. LOL Thought I would make a little side $$ and that didn't work out so well.

lol - Yes, I had looked into those previously. Competition is stiff and many of the jobs require more time than I have available. I had signed up on a couple of those sites in the past, but with working the way I do, didn't have the time to try to pursue the posted jobs. Thank you, though!

Penny, good luck with the crocheting. My grandma used to try to teach me how to do that, but I'm afraid I'm all thumbs when it comes to that! You should try etsy though! Maybe you could get some orders for some and get some side money through them. If I was creative in that way, I might give them a try!

Thanks, Dominator. There have only been a couple of people that have helped and that is okay. When I posted originally, it wasn't asking for help, just wanted to share that my picture had been accepted, which I was really excited about. And talking about the ways of earning money online, that I've been trying, and offline. The opportunity is out to earn extra money if we want it, just not the amount I need at this point.

luv suggested I post the link to my gofundme page. I'm just excited and grateful for those that did help. I think I'm beyond this at this point, as I completed my tax forms on Sunday and owe the state and Feds money, so I'm giving up on getting what I need for the house. I've asked for an extension on filing, but will be hit with fines and fees for paying late, but, at this point....owing more isn't going to make a difference. lol The taxes will have to come first, though.

But I appreciate the thought. Luv could unpin this. But I truly appreciate those that offered prayers and that did give help. They'll never know how much it meant to me. I'm hoping that as long as I can keep from getting any more behind, they won't forclose on the house. If they do....well, I've started over before, through two divorces, and when leaving home as a teenager. I'll survive. It's what I do, have always done.
