He's ruining his two youngest sons. Lonzo's already free. Maybe Lonzo should look to Magic as his professional father figure, because if he goes along with this, it would be career suicide.

Ask Doc Rivers.

At times, this dude evokes the best in Joe Jackson

Well, he's abusing his younger two in the literal sense. Their best use is in school, not playing overseas.

Oh I don't disagree....

I'm merely stating the fact that Joe's controlling nature and abuse were (*compared to the rest of his actions) his best.

Magic can put a stop to this if he wanted to......sit LaVar down and tell him, keep running your mouth about our organization / coaches, and I'll trade your son. Shit, the Lakers are playing better without Lonzo, plus the other sons aren't all that.

In other news, I hear Joe Johnson will sign with Houston.....another weapon coming off the bench. I don't think any team will go after Derrick Rose.

Magic doesn't want to completely waste his first big move, but he may have to. He's hosting All-Star weekend, which should be (let's face it) prime time for recruiting the big stars, and he'll have to field questions about the Balls.

Agreed and agreed.

Maybe TNT will go after Derrick Rose... for commentary!

haha... just playing. Wasn't he one of those dudes accused of getting a PASS (as if it were the FIRST time this ever happened) in college or somethin like that?

Might not be book smart... but maybe TNT will take a chance on him... until he breaks his ankle walking to the screen!!!

biggrin

Cavs look much better since the infusion of youth. You can the speed and athleticism on the court. Nance Jr. is flying all over the place, and I always liked Clarkson's game.

They were good rotation players for LAL and have a lot of game experience for young guys. Like I said when it went down, CLE went for young legs and it's paying off in these dog days of the regular season.

I was pleasantly surprised with the All-Star Game...those cats actually gave effort on defense. My respect for LeBron James went up 1000% after his response to Laura Ingraham's silly remarks. Using your voice/platform as a force for positive social change is as American as you can get. Telling someone to "shut up & dribble" because they said something you don't like is as anti-American as you can get. LeBron is doing what Jackie Robinson, Bill Russell, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, Oscar Robertson, John Carlos, Tommie Smith, Arthur Ashe, Kareem, etc., did before. Laura Ingraham and folks like her are nothing but trolls who need a refresher course in U.S. History.

I enjoyed watching the NBA All-Star Weekend, but I wish they didn't use celebs to judge the Slam Dunk contest and "entertainment" was simply horrible. The All-Star game itself was great, and I can't wait for next year when they do a live draft (like they do with the NHL).

Damn, Jimmy Butler went down last night with a non-contact injury. Hope it's not an ACL.....that would suck for the T'Wolves.

I wish somebody would royally fuck up someone on the warriors, I'm sick of those dirty fucks getting every NON BASKETBALL CALL TO GO THEIR WAY. ...and basketball calls too...

That dirty Neanderthal fuck Zsa Zsa needs to get fined or suspended or lose his ability to play in the league,

I've seen him smash faces, punch dick, shuffle his feet to ruin a falling shooters land (kawhi) and deliberately pretend to fall due to the "weight of Nick assholethatgavehimselfanickname" had supposedly put on his huge ass.

Fuck the warriors. Can't stand that level of corruption on officiating

What Zaza did was tame compared to the things I saw from Maurice Lucas, Dave Cowens, Paul Silas, M.L. Carr, Rick Mahorn, Charles Oakley, etc. If Zaza pulled this crap back in the day, shit would've been settled on the court real quick. That NBA is long gone.

word...ZsaZsa is a tough guy, but he's sneaky and childish with it...cats like Oakley, Xavier McDaniel, Lonnie Shelton, Bob Lanier, Kareem Jabbar, Kermit Washington and Darryl Dawkins would quietly fuck you up before refs and teammates had time to break it up...now these skinny jeans wearing fake tough guys talk shit and run behind the refs before shit pops off...Kevin Garnett was the forefather and prototype for this new brand of reality TV type finger pointing, name calling, drink throwing, back pedalling, fake crazy behavior

Stephen Jackson broke it down well.

The old guard would bust people up -- an elbow here, a hard screen there, getting you on the way up.

But Pachulia looks to seriously injure people by trying to alter their fall on the way down. Kahwi and Furious Styles were part of a pattern. Shame because I liked Pachulia earlier in his career.

Did y'all see LBJ go behind his back and through the legs of a teammate last night? Man, I have NEVER seen anything like it! Click the link for the video, it is INCREDIBLY COOL:

What a game last night between Boston & Houston. Cavs aren't a lock for the finals this year....Boston & Toronto are legit.

I attended the game last night between the Sixers and the Hornets. I love what the Sixers

are doing right now. They had balance scoring as all 5 starters scored in double figures.

The outside shooting right now is the best I've seen in years. They must avoid collapses like they

did Sunday night against Milwaukee where they just got outplayed and outhustled and committed

way too many turnovers. They played a much cleaner game last night. It's nice to see this organization competitive again. The league is better when the Sixers and the Knicks are competitive in the Eastern Conference.

Knicks latest biggest mistake that will go down in history...drafting Frank Ntilikina instead of Donovan Mitchell...he's a N.Y. area kid, whose daddy works for the N.Y. Mets...i remember seeing an interview with Rick Pitino b4 the draft, and he said Mitchell would be perfect for the Knicks roster and they would regret it, if he were available and they didnt pick him...Pitino nailed it

Thank you for saying this. It's about time anyone from the US took the Raptors seriously. We've been playing great ball for years now. I don't think we can beat GS, but we stand a great chance against any other team. Go Raptors!

DeRozan is great, but Lowry's height and defensive limitations and the Raptors lack of roster depth will get them exposed and eliminated in a playoff series...that said, Dwayne Casey should be coach of the year for Toronto's continued relative success...they are ballin

TOR has had a great season and BOS has been strong as a whole, but I'll believe that they can beat the LeBrons 4 times in two weeks when I see it.

If Toronto clinches home court and they're healthy, they have no excuses. LeBron's playing with a bunch of young cats who aren't playoff tested.
