Roy Halladay MLB Star; Autopsy findings

.

The body of two-time Cy Young winner Roy Halladay showed evidence of morphine, an amphetamine and the sleeping medication Ambien when it was examined after his fatal plane crash off the coast of Florida in November, according to the autopsy report obtained by USA TODAY Sports on Friday.

.

The report by the Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner’s Office also showed that Halladay's blood alcohol content was .01. The antidepressant fluoxetine (Prozac) was also detected.

It really is terrible and heartbreaking for his family. I had a feeling that drugs might be involved. What's even more sad is that they said he was breathing after the plane crashed into the water (water in his lungs); so I wonder if he could have been saved? Such a tragedy.

Considering that he was legally drunk (meaning he was buzzed enough to be impaired but not enough to be falling down and/or slurring his speech) plus the presence of Prozac and Ambien, and he could have had an adverse reaction to the whole combination of drugs and alcohol that he may hev been slow to read his instruments untll it was too late.

sad sigh typing

I don't know why he would do something so negligent like that. His wife is without a husband and his two beautiful boys without a father.
