The 2017 NFL Draft Thread Time to go shopping again!
Giants needs are tight end & left tackle. We pick 23rd, so O.J. Howard will be long gone. Maybe the TE from Miami, David Njoku, will be available.

I like the Steelers to pick safety/CB. Also a QB. I know Ben wants WR's but Steelers are good in the postion.

I was not expecting this at all. But the Chicago Bears traded up to draft Mitch Trubisky. Having said that, I don't really know what to expect, since he only played one full season of quarterback in college. At best this looks like a Ryan Tannehill-type pick, which means the Bears probabaly paid too much to get him.

Thought Peppers would have gone to the Steelers, oh well

Watt is an interesting pick for the Steelers. He has a high motor like his brother. Have to see if his game can translate to the NFL. Don't laugh at my funk

The looks on the faces of Bears fans was priceless.
None of these QBs are what you would call franchise - WTF are the Bears thinking?
Giants got their TE, but not the one we wanted. I would have preferred Njoku.

I could have only dreamed Washington would have a chance to draft Johnathan Allen at 17. Dreams sometimes come true. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Giants got their TE, but not the one we wanted. I would have preferred Njoku. They could have stayed put and gotten him. I liken this move to the Bills drafting EJ Manuel in the first round 3 or 4 years ago. The Bills could have gotten him in the 2nd or 3rd. The Bears front office WTF were they thinking. They didn't have to give up anything and still got him with the 3rd pick. Don't laugh at my funk

ESPN's mock draft Round 2 has Steeler's picking QB DeShone Kizer, I know they usually get it wrong. Round 3 they are predicting WR ArDarius Stewart DON'T NEED WR'S!!!!!!!!!! Secondary is where they should look. [Edited 4/28/17 13:44pm]

Not happy about getting a WR. Not saying that guy aint good it's just Steelers need to draft CB/Safety

Steelers WR's already commenting on the 2nd draft pick, not good in an already crowded position [Edited 4/28/17 21:22pm]

JuJu probably was drafted as an insurance policy if Coates can't come back from surgery on his hand and if Bryant slips again and JuJu is said to be an excellent blocker. We need to get a safety. I'm tired of seeing Mike Mitchell slow ass out of position on passing plays. Don't laugh at my funk

He said "Hahahahaha" Then Tomlin responded "Play nice" to Bryant & Coates. I knew that was a bad pick. [Edited 4/29/17 14:54pm]

How do you like the Joshua Dobbs pick? I projected it right either 4th or 5th round. None of these qb's in this class knock your socks off but a few could potentially be decent. Don't laugh at my funk

I'm OK with it . With Ben usually getting hurt and sitting out a few games a season Steelers needs to address on getting Ben a good back up for now. Steelers has not had a reliable back up QB since Charlie Batch's first few seasons with the Steelers. Tired of "hey we will stick with Laundry Jones, he knows the system". I want the rest of the draft to focus on defense.

I want the rest of the draft to focus on defense. I would have preferred taking Nathan Petermen over Dobbs. Petermen is probably the best pure pocket passer coming out the draft right now but we'll see with Dobbs. I'm glad I missed the long snapper shit. I would have thrown a glass at my tv.
