Oh please. This is probably part of his method for a new role.

Wow. What's he going to do then? Maybe he's just burnt out and wants to travel around in an RV. I hope he isn't ill. Man, i had it bad for him back in the day LOL Huge framed movie posters in my home office from two of my all-time favorite movies, Last of the Mohicans and In the Name of the Father. Even had the soundtrack from Mohicans. That shit gave me all kind of feels. Hands down the best of his generation. What a loss to the industry.

That's a shame. He's one of the best actors of all time and a really nice guy too. I hope his decision to retire isn't one he was forced into making.

A bold claim, for which there is a legitimate argument.

Me too.

He's not working an oil rig or serving combat duty, but he pours so much of himself into his craft I can see how he'd be tired of acting even when healthy.

ikr, its almost tiresome showboting hamming it up. All he needs os to do is take a role in some bullshit lighthearted comedy. Watching him and his movies can be so draining.

Lesser talents would be seen as showboats/hams. Maybe that's the reason he's getting out . . . he doesn't want to be seen as "playing himself"?

That's a trap even the greatest actors can't always avoid (Brando, De Niro, Pacino, Denzel, etc.)
