such as?

Archer, Dogtonian, The Raccoons, Dungeons and Dragons, Gummi Bears, Street Frogs, Cops, Moby Dick, Adventure Time, etc. lol Granted, there were periods of time when I didn't watch cartoons but it is funny I have no recollection at all about some of the older ones. When I had a kid watching cartoons in the 90s, then I became a fan of some series, especially the X-Men, which I thought was excellent. Loved Batman and Batman Beyond. And then some cartoons I watched with my son because he was so in love with them like Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, and Sonic the Hedgehog, even though they weren't my cup of tea. razz Others I liked were Rugrats, Bobby's World, Recess, and the excellent Arthur series on PBS. Couldn't stand Mutant Ninja Turtles. razz Or the spectacularly bad MC Hammer cartoon with the magic shoes. Just thought of some fun music-related cartoons from long, long ago: The Jackson 5, The Osmonds, and The Beatles.

To be fair, I didn't read the original post properly and didn't realise it was Saturday morning cartoons ... Archer most definitely isn't a cartoon for kids. Its brilliantly funny though and well worth a look.

Some of the others mentioned might have more of a UK swing. The Raccoons was shown on Saturday morning kids show Going Live and was a pretty big deal in our house ... I remember Pole Position as well being pretty darn cool as a kid.

1. The Simpsons ... greatest cartoon of all time, bar none!!

2. Archer

Also, does something like Robot Chicken count? ... technically animated and absolutely hilarious.

how i forget archer???

see it is hard for me to

count the cartoons i see

on a regular basis with my

'all time' favs because when

i think of the question i think

only of my childhood or anything

before 2000...

All great animated series, but OP asked for Saturday morning/afternoon cartoons.

Saturday morning cartoons only--it's difficult to remember that far back, hmm. I'm just going to list some as I think of them--these are the ones I recall waking up early to see and/or enjoying over breakfast (and I realize I'm totally dating myself here):

The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show

Fantastic Four (the 1960s cartoons with the original members, not the lame 80s version with H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot because another studio had the rights to the Human Torch, grr)

Underdog

The New Archie and Sabrina Hour

Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

The Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show

Super Friends

Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids

Josie and the Pussycats

But the best of them all which I actually purchased on DVD and no one else has mentioned yet are the Schoolhouse Rock! shorts.

Felix The Cat was crazy.

But weren't Tales actually part of Rocky and Bullwinkle? If so, you'd get one more pick.
