the Gamecocks just lost to Gonzaga. They still made history for their school.
Yes they sure did. It was a great run. Gonzaga's bigs made a difference down the stretch and
you can tell Thornwell wasn't quite himself with the bug. No excuses. Gonzaga is a great team
and they made a few more plays than USC did and deserved to win.
How about those Lady Gamecocks bringing the NCAA championship home to Columbia and the
state of South Carolina. A'ja Wilson is one hell of a player and she delivered a championship for
the Lady Gamecocks. Proud to be a native of Columbia, SC.
Well I bet you're struttin'! Great showing from both of the teams. I really thoughtthat USC had the game after Dozier and Siva came alive w/ around 9 mins left. That seem to let up on D though. The Cocks seemed not to know when to take to the hoop and when to keep it outside. Regardless, they played a hell of a tournament- I was cheering for them. If it's magic, then why can't it be everlasting..... |

WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - Both teams were from the SEC so once again we see that the SEC is clearly the greatest conference in America. Suck it, "Big" 10!
MEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP - Congrats to North Carolina. They played like champions in the last three minutes. I thought it was really cool that Kris Jenkins - the Villanova player whose buzzer beater won the 2016 championship over North Carolina - was sitting right behind the NC bench, wearing an NC shirt, and cheering on his little-brother-through-adoption, North Carolina's Nate Britt. What a story! |
