If you're not capable of being happy money won't solve anything. If you're a fairly content person whose biggest problem is financial struggle then it will make you much happier.

Why are people quoting the Bible? Why don't you take that shit over here?

Qué pregunta tan tonta, por supuesto que el dinero te hace feliz, te da un poco más de libertad para hacer aquello a lo que tu corazpn está más inclinado.

English por favor. Gracias

Pedro is basically saying the same as everybody else: that having money will give you more freedom and allow you to do what you love to do. And I agree with that.

Maybe he's unhappy because he misses you.

I don't know your backstory and I do not want to get in your business. What I will say, as a person whose parents have both been dead for 15 years now, is that if there's any way to get back together then I hope that can happen for you.

pray and hug

That is so sweet Rodeshroe --- thank you so much. I actually do think he misses me sad And I miss him - he's 70 now so my heart is breaking. But I can't talk to him because his wife won't allow him to talk to me. I posted about it on the org last year but I can't find the thread. A lot of orgers helped me though and I appreciate it hug hug He's married to this controlling woman and she has isolated him from everyone in his family. He has no contact with anyone because he's not allowed. I can't even get a phone call in- I've tried. Finally, I gave up and I just wrote a book about it and I can only hope he one days comes across it and reads it - although not sure if he can without her knowing about it. Anyway, that was my last ditch effort to get a message to him and tell him I love him. sad Thank you for caring- Rodeshroe smile smile

Haha, I knew I was going to get in trouble for not actually translating, but making an "interpretation" of your words. Don't worry. I get it.

As you get older you realize that you have to "enjoy" life, rather than just chase money. As long as you can pay your bills and have some emergency and retirement money stashed away that's all that matters. The most important thing is to make the time to enjoy your life.
If I was younger I would have made more time for myself and not put myself into so much stress. Not that I'm nearing retirement any time soon, just that a peaceful laid back life is better than a being a money chasing shark constantly on the prowl.

What I'm saying is I've learned my lesson.

They say that money buys you happiness, the more money the more happiness up until $70,000 per person.

And that more than $70,000 doesn't make you any happier.

I think the truth is the lack of money is extremely stressful. I think having at least some money to fall back on means less anxiety, panic, overthinking choices, worrying. Imagine having to get someplace and your vehicle won't start, or you don't have a vehicle. Imagine that you absolutely need to get where you are going. If you have less than $50.00 in your pocket or on your debit it becomes a big deal. It is less money for other things that you might need until your next direct deposit.

If you have a decent amount of money you call a cab, or whatever and simply stress less.

The level of stress that you go through regularly when you are dirt poor makes having some money feel like "happiness".

There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin.
