Rogue One! (Please keep it spoiler free for now)

So in 53ish hours I will be watching the beginning of Rogue One!

I am very stoked! I have only seen the first teaser but not much else. (a second here and there on tv and some reckless spoilers in some news reports! And some screen shots: some with some spoilers of sorts). And yes I know the plot... but mostly I am going in pure! (I plan not not watch anything for VIII)

A little funny story! I was in a meeting last week for some big thing we are doing next week. And one of the bosses says "Be prepared to stay LATE next Thursday too!" And I said "I can not stay, I am going to see Star Wars!" Some people laughed but I told her "I can not stay Thursday" and she said "Okay" but I bet she tries to write me up!

So I will be there!

So maybe when it comes out we can have some discussion on it...

I'm looking forward to it. I plan on watching episodes 1, 2 and 3 in the next few days, then Rogue One on Friday, and then episodes 4 to 7 over the weekend so I can get the full experience.

I read that folks stood and cheered when the world premiere ended. "A WWII Star Wars movie..." they say. AWESOME, cannot wait...

Make it so, Number One...

I hope I like it, but I'm nervous. War and Scifi movies tend to bore me and the 7 Star Wars films so far never felt like either of those to me. 84% on Rotten Tomatoes is a good sign, it probably could have been a 91% without those "Do we really need a Star Wars every year" whiners.

Saw it 2 times already! I went to the cinema with less expectations than Force Awakens (which I saw 15 times wink ), but it really surprised me! When it was finished I was feeling like an anxious teenager again biggrin

MAY contain lesser SPOILERS!!

The intro is short and the movie almost immediately lays its cards on the table. Steal the plans to the Death Star. The Droid K2-SO is sure to be a fan favorite and the Vader scenes are out of this world!

It's a dark STW movie and really paves the way for ANH.

Mads Mikkelsen is such a good actor he needed more screen time, that's the only downside to the movie that some characters are not fleshed out and feel empty. (Saw Gerrera comes to mind).

It's a highly enjoyable movie and a great addition to the STW universe! Go see it!

May the Force be with you wink

I've watched the clone Wars series before so it's ok. It would be too much to watch all of that as well as the movies. I wouldn't have the time. It's hard enough to try fit in some episodes of Rebels.
