Bluetooth Speakers

Is anyone into the bluetooth speaker craze? Just curious. I was a little impressed by a couple

of co workers who have the JBL Flip. Nice sound particularly for jazz. I couldn't figure what I wanted

for my birthday so I got the Bose Soundcolor 2. I dig it. Nice design and sound and easy to carry around. I will use it primarily when I'm outside on the grill and for travel.

Well the Bose Soundcolor 2 is affordable at Best Buy for 116 right now. Now I wouldn't spend 200 dollars for the Bose Soundlink mini. I just wouldn't put that
kind of money into a small portable Bluetooth speaker. I know JBL has a lot of different models ranging from 99 to almost 300.

Is the sound quality for bluetooth speakers the same as wired speakers?

One of my friends has the JBL flip and it's pretty cool, sound quality is good, but one of my cousins has the Sonos Play:1 bluetooth speaker and man is that thing powerful! It costs about the same as a Bose Soundlink mini at $199. I've taken a look at the Bose Soundcolor but I'm interested in knowing if the Bose is better than Sonos or vice versa.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Sonos claims that they are better sounding. I don't know because I haven't had the opportunity

to listen but I dig their commercial taking a shot at bluetooth speakers. lol I didn't find the Bose

Soundlink mini to be any more impressive than Bose Soundcolor except it has more bass but the

Soundcolor has better sound and clarity.

I also failed to mention to you earlier that Sonos is not a Bluetooth speaker. It operates using wifi and the Sonos app on your phone to my knowledge.

They're really good. A soundbar works with the TV and your bluetooth devices and puts out good enough sound on its own.

The cheaper portable bluetooth speakers aren't bad either. I use one I paid 15 bucks for and carry it around the house. It does the trick. Going up a level or two, the JBL speaker is really really good, and a cheaper alternative to Bose.

I bought a Polaroid brand for 15 bucks out of big lots and it sounded good
for about 3 weeks until the speaker started to go bad. Needless to say I took it back. The Bose Soundlink Color 2 is actually cheaper than the new JBL models. Only the early models are slightly cheaper than the Soundlink Color 2. I think you are thinking about the Soundlink Mini model which is priced around 199. The JBL Extreme is priced even higher than that at 269. The Bose Soundlink Color has a better design and clearer sound than the Soundlink Mini and is only priced for 129.

I have a little Bose bluetooth speaker. Not one of the super fancy ones, but it does ok. I like it. I just use it to stream radio or play my music playlist. Looking it up, it's the tealish Bose Soundlink Color. I paid $100.

Sounds like you have the first version which came without a mic but with
a wall charger whereas the Color 2 has a mic but no wall charger and just a
USB cable and its splashproof. I'm digging mine even more now that I connected it
to my IPAD. Great sound when you listen to Spotify or YouTube. I have the black
but wish I would have gotten the sky blue Color 2.

Ok, thanks for the clarity. thumbs up! I haven't done much research on it but its good to know the difference between the type of speakers.

Sounds right. Perhaps my most favorite thing about it is how many times it's been dropped and splashed with water and it doesn't even have a scratch. I had a Mega Jam that sounded ok, but it broke within a month of buying it without being subjected to any such abuse. The charger port screwed up.

Good info to know. I bought a Clark or something like that for 15 bucks. It's still kicking.
