I wanna see Hamilton & I need your help...

NYC and theatre/Broadway type orgers, I need your advice & knowledge. I wanna see Hamilton. Ive never been to a professional production like that of any kind, I've never been to NYC. I'm in Georgia, getting there isnt an issue; I can drive or fly. I could go as soon as next month or wait unitl a better time, if a better time exists...I just dont know enough about it. It would most likey be a turn around trip....come up one day, see the show the next, head out the next AM. I'd like to stay somewhere close or somehwere thats a convenient distance. Anything you can offer would be appreciated I know google has all the answers but I've known this place to be a pretty good resource.

AirBNB is a great way to find more cozy places, and often for a better deal for what's included than a hotel room. You can damn near pinpoint your block on AirBNB's map and find places within the block or two or three out. Find one w/ a good rating, and plenty of pics. Contact the owner and talk to them about any concerns you have or questions. Most are quite happy to help guests that are new to an area.

We made a day trip to NY to see Janet at Radio City. Find a good parking garage nearby (they are all over), make a reservation and stay afoot if possible. It's a godsend in a city that is really more foot traffic friendly than it is for cars. I think we were there on a Friday, and paid $18 for the whole day. (It was a special Friday rate.) Ask your AirBNB person if they have parking available. It's likely they won't, but maybe they could also recommend a good garage for you to park your vehicle. If you fly, Uber, Lyft (which is often cheaper), or a taxi is your friend. If you fly, stick with Uber or Lyft. It's just more personal, and they'll get you where you're going, and you'll know up front what you're paying.

Anything within 10 blocks is convenient to me, but there are short blocks and long blocks. Use the AirBNB map to find a close place.

Just as a note: I'd recommend taking an extra day just to breathe and enjoy the city a little bit. You're obviously going to be close to touristy things, so I say do them. I walked my ass right into Times Square, gawked, pointed, looked, took pics, etc., because once I've done it, I can something else next time. TS at night is fucking amazing; it's so BRIGHT.

And just because it deserves to be said - turn your phone off during the performance. Ain't shit gon' beat going to a Broadway play.
