Exactly, never understood why people like it (adults that is). I love my cartoons but sorry way over rated.

House of Cards may get Emmy nominations but most critics think it's awful.

Really why, i think is great i love it, but tell me please what do they say about it

Whoops, I was wrong. The top critics I follow on twitter think it's bad television but overall scores are good. hmmm

87%
Critics Consensus: House of Cards retains its binge-worthiness by ratcheting up the drama, and deepening Robin Wright's role even further.

2016, Netflix, 13 episodes

77%
Critics Consensus: Season three introduces intriguing new political and personal elements to Frank Underwood's character, even if it feels like more of the same for some.

2015, Netflix, 13 episodes

88%
Critics Consensus: House of Cards proves just as bingeworthy in its second season, with more of the strong performances, writing, and visual design that made the first season so addictive.

2014, Netflix, 13 episodes

85%
Critics Consensus: Bolstered by strong performances -- especially from Kevin Spacey -- and surehanded direction, House of Cards is a slick, engrossing drama that may redefine how television is produced.

2013, Netflix, 13 episodes

And no mention at all for Big Bang Theory??? That's just wrong...

The list was calculated by consistency and great writing, two things TBBT doesn't really have.

Well, its made me and alot of people I know consistently laugh for years now ... must be doing something right...

1-10: The Inner Circle

These choices aren't unreasonable.

11-50: No-Doubt-About-It-Classics

SpongeBob SquarePants (Nickelodeon, 1999-present)

Every animated show that's aired on Nickelodeon owes a debt to Ren and Stimpy. Including this one. Ren and Stimpy should be ranked as well.

Outlier Classics

Not many shows featuring minorities in the all-time rankings. No rankings for Different World, Good Times, Jeffersons, Roc. No love for The Corner, which was a prelude to The Wire. Chico and The Man wasn't bad either. They're mainly in the "honorable mentions" category.

Works in Progress

Adventure Time (Cartoon Network, 2010-present)
Bojack Horseman (Netflix, 2014-present)

Again, these shows owe a debt to Ren and Stimpy.

Game of Thrones (HBO, 2011-present)

IMHO, at a minimum, it's a top 20 show all-time right now.

A Certain Regard: Shows we love for one strange reason or another

A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! (CBS, 1965 and 1966)

There's no "strange reason to love A Charlie Brown Christmas. It's one of the best television shows of all time, better in fact than many of the series that were ranked.

Crime Story season 1 (NBC, 1986-1987)

Credit where credit is due for this pull. Great show.

Samurai Jack (Cartoon Network, 2001-2004)
Star Wars: Clone Wars (Cartoon Network, 2003-2005)

Two of the best shows of the 21st century. The second Clone Wars series was great too.

Tremé (HBO, 2010-2013)

An underrated, underappreciated show.

There's also a section about miniseries and tv movies, and everything in this post is written about in this book. No more details from me. biggrin

Hopefully I. Claudius, one of the greatest miniseries of all time, and IMHO an early forbear of Game of Thrones, is included.

In this order...

Gunsmoke

I Love Lucy

The Honeymooners

60 Minutes

Soul Train

American Playhouse 90

Mary Tyler Moore Show

Ed Sullivan Show

Jack Parr Show ( Without this man, there would be no Carson, Letterman, or anyone else on late night)

The Carol Burnett Show

The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson

The David Letterman Show ( the NBC Years)

Hill Street Blues

Batman

Wise Guys

The X-Files

A Year In A Life ( canceled after 1 season... beautifully written an acted show)

The Rockford Files

Nightline

POV

The Fugitive

Rocky and His Friends

The Bozo Show

ER

Zoom

Electric Light Company ( way better than Sesame Street)

Firing Line

Captain Kangaroo

Kukla, Fran and Ollie

The Ladies Number 1 Detective Agency

I can't say enough about kids programming during the 1950 to mid 70's...respectable, intelligent and substantive shows.

Yeah I don't have any current TV shows because I just don't watch TV series anymore. The Ladies Number 1 Detective Agency is the last TV series, I penciled in every Sunday to watch. I can't sit through commercials and the amount of stuff on TV... I can't follow a show from beginning to end. I basically watch movies.

P.S. I forgot one.... "I'll Fly Away"

Finally, a halfway decent list. Those current shows bore me too and one of the reasons I was enjoying those presidential conventions was the coverage of them was taking that boring mess off the TV for two weeks. evillol But back in the day, I used to get pissed as hell if the president held a speech or if any news broke into the programming because it used to be so good.

It should be NUMBER 1!!!
The Simpsons hasn't been good since like season 9! At least House was more consistent

I didn't see House on the list (I quickly went over them.)

If it's not in there, I don't know how it can not be. And if it is on the list, then why isn't it in the top 10?????

Oh yeah, the last season was really good. Especially near the end and the series finale.

I also like the season opener, because House is in prison the entire episode. It was one of the unique episodes where he's in a different environment and has to adapt and he finds his one friend when he can't talk to Wilson

That's a nice list Andy. I forgot about Will and Grace, Mama's Family, Laverne and Shirley, and The Flip Wilson Show those TV sitcoms / comedies would have me cry laughing.

We had some super duper package my crazy man selected when we had cable.... 15,000 channels and couldn't find a damn thing to watch. What's wrong with that picture? lol Besides I couldn't remember what shows came on those 15, 000 channels. funkpill use to help a sista out, telling me what was on what channel. Comcast took off Gunsmoke and HBO canceled Woman Number 1 Defective Agency .Finally I said. fuck-it cut the cord. lol

But yeah a lot of stuff folks are raving about on TV seems boring as hell to me. I tried to watch Power but I find myself speeding throw.,,,in hopes of getting to the fucking point. lol

but I, Claudius is a UK television series. so that's probably
why it's not on these lists of american tv shows smile

superb series though, one of my all time favorites. love

also, not a lot of love for "That 70's Show" is there? lol
i don't know, i liked the first 4 seasons or so, before it got
too repetitive.

and where is "Mad About You", that was a nice show smile

Why you gotta bring facts into my rant?
