the editing was still as piss poor in the version though
it gets a little better toward the end but halleluiah it's bad in the first hour, almost to the point where you just want to turn it off. (almost walked out of the cinema too).
it's not that it makes the story hard to follow (it's still pretty easy to follow the plot) but it's just so incredibly jarring and weird. it's like you've left for a piss break every 5 mins, and you didn't even know it and true love lives on lollipops and crisps |

For anyone who's seen it (I haven't seen it yet) does it differ much from the one released in cinemas? I liked the movie but felt it could be improved upon. Does the extra 30 minutes add anything of substance?

Batman has the knowledge and technology to take down any hero in the DC universe. Without spoiling the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, Superman could kill Batman any time he wants. That point was made numerous times throughout, sometimes subtly, sometimes outright stating it as fact. The thing is though, Superman, being Superman, doesn't want to kill Batman. Batman, on the other hand, wants to kill Superman. I thought, taking this into account, that their fight was handled quite well. It was by no means a perfect movie but anyone who criticises it for the outcome of the fight is either missing the point or just going out of their way to pick out flaws where none exist. |

Yuuuuuuuuuuup lol but the way it came out in the film just when u thought Batman was gonna kill Superman with the kryptonite stick that Martha was the name of their moms, and it stopped him in his tracks, and not for the logical reason that Lex Luthor was behind them being enemies https://www.youtube.com/w...JfIg8fXM-w that is how I saw it. Maybe when I get this on blu ray and listen to the commentary it might change my views.

It was a good superhero film and I am looking forward to Justice League and all the other DC films eg. Wonder Women, Suicide Squad etc. Was it the best DC film adaptation?, er no I loved the first Superman 1978, Batman Returns 1992 and The Dark Knight 2008. Yuuuuuuuup I think the dirt moves because I don't think Superman is dead and its a teaser for the next film. Keep Calm & Listen To Prince |

Don't forget Superman 2 I love Superman 2. I know they took some serious liberties when it came to the Kryptonian powers, like Zod lifting the guy into the air without touching him, or Superman throwing a big S at Non in the Fortress Of Solitude. But even with things like that, it still had the best Lex Luthor, the best General Zod and the best Superman. And Zod has some great lines like "why do you say this to me, when you know I will kill you for it?". |

What a shitfest that was.
"I have godlike powers, but I'm willing to give them up for ugly Lois Lane"....yeah, that made plenty of sense. And don't get me started on those magic tricks. The only good part of S2 was Terrence Stamp's portrayal of Zod. Not as great as Michael Shannon's, but good.

No I'm not......Man of Steel is the best Superman movie. Darker, and none of that corny shit from the Reeve films. And great battle scenes. [Edited 7/13/16 7:16am] |

[Edited 7/13/16 7:16am] I don't mind Man of Steel, I felt it was ok, but nothing special. I much prefer the first two Christopher Reeve movies but I can appreciate it was a different version of the character so I don't mind them going in a darker direction but great battle scenes? I personally felt that the CGI ruined it. It kind of takes the humanity out of it. I don't love the Chris Nolan Batman movies but one thing I will praise them for is that they didn't go crazy with special effects and they just let the actors act. The fights felt more personal. I thought Man of Steel veered too close to Transformers territory for my liking. |

Superman 2 was good, it would have been better had they not fired the director Richard Donner and cut out the Brando scenes https://www.youtube.com/w...MkxKdcZ9-w and I agree General Zod was a badass....... and a hottie I prefer Superman 1 & 2 to the current Man of Steel and Superman Returns.
