But, has anyone ever met a 4 year old stupid enough to get themselves into a GORILLA ENCLOSURE!?!?! Everybody is just acting like this is just a normal thing that a 4 year old would reasonably do - a 2 year old, yes, but 4? No.

I know I wasn't and it wasn't that long ago that I was 4 compared to the lot of you!!!

Manslaughter needs to go on this child's permanent record.

The mother needs to be shamed into oblivion and charged with negligence.

The zoo needs to ban children under the age of 8.

I could tell you never really been around kids. I work with children and they can get into ANYTHING, even at age 4. They don't know any better, although they think they do.

When all the social media hate started flowing, after this incident, my friend commented on how one often sees people of a certain disposition loudly and sentimentally professing their sympathy for all living beings in one breath, then mercilessly opining about the draconian fate that should befall human beings in the next. I think he had a point.

Right. This idea that this gorilla's life was more important than this child is crazy but I'm surprised by this at all. RIP to the gorilla but Imma need folks to get a reality check. That gorilla could have just as well tore that child up into shreds. But mind you this person is apparently 18 so...
