Two of the stars of “The Walking Dead” played the part of heroes off screen Thursday.

Stephen Yuen and Norman Reedus stopped their motorcycles at the scene of a car crash in suburban Atlanta to help out the victims, Fayette County Citizen reported.

.

The accident took place near the set of the actors’ hit zombie series, which began filming a new season just last week.

.

“It took like they were trying to help everybody, calm everybody,” witness Mikail Turan told Atlanta’s WTOC News.

.

Police said Yuen and Reedus were not involved in the accident and were being treated as witnesses. No major injuries were reported.

The sighting of the pair may lead to speculation that their characters, Glenn and Darryl, survived the events of last season’s finale.

.

Fans had been grumbling at the cliffhanger in which the identity of a major character that was killed off camera was withheld from viewers.

.

“If they killed off one of their favorite characters, they'd all yell about that,” Reedus told the Daily News in April.

.

“It’s surprising how many people want to see blood. That finale wasn’t about who dies; our show is not ‘Survivor Island.’”

Of course they survive to Lucille, the one who does not is Eugene.

I guess it all depends on when they started shooting for the next season. If it was that day then, nope that doesn't mean anything that they were there, if it was 2 weeks into shooting then maybe there's hope they were spared.

hmm hmmm it says they began filming last week, but it says "for a new season" not which new season.... although i suppose we could assume it's season 7?

.

i wonder how are they even going to keep the filming under wraps all summer long when they know fans will be banging down the set to find out who is filming and who survives lucille??

Hmm, that doesn't help. That's right at the cusp of doing re-shoots and setup times, and continuing on with the story, unless...they don't shoot in order, which I highly doubt since it's a tv show.
