evrsince I been gettin those damned update suggestions my wireless mouse is out of control...literally....kinda fucked up....sometimes it works...sometimes it dont....so i changed the USB slot for that little thingy you put in there....then it worked again...then stopped....then I changed the USB slot again...and it didnt´work...and then after a while it did....

and I even looked it up on google. went to the control panel to devices, drivers, mouse etc..

did everything they said...to no avail...

now its back to normal...butt for how long?.

bet it´s gon go back to no control again...

I´m afraid of missing out on the more important updates. I´m not really computer savvy.

Two particular updates, the KB3075249 and the KB3080149, give older Windows versions the capability to send users' data to Microsoft's servers.

Based on information from Microsoft 10's Support Page, the KB3075249 update "adds telemetry points" to the Windows version's UAC, or User Account Control to enable it to collect information via consent.exe in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 versions.

What makes you think it´s worth the investment? How is your experience with it so far?

Is it true that you don´t catch a virus if you install this?

Does your computer run smoothly in general ever since you´ve been using MakuluLinux?

As we sing the Pro's of Linux, we should also tell you some of its Con's.

As I mentioned if you are wedding (because of work or particular hobbies) to Microsoft or Apple software an/or 3rd party software or hardware... more often than not it won't work on link. I have a WD Cloud hard drive (if I had it to do all over again I wouldn't have bought even to use with Apple or Microsoft) I can't back up my Linux computers. I bought the Leap Motion device ( that's been tossed in my gadget junk box) can't use it with Linux. In many instances 3rd party software and some hardware build for Microsoft computers... won't work with Linux. I'll assume your job (unless you have own your on business) supplies you a work computer. If you use Photoshop... you can't use it on a Linux machine. If you use Apple devices and/or software... you can't use it on a Linux computer. You use to able to years ago but Apple blocked that.

Are there alternatives to Microsoft based software applications such as Photoshop (Linux - Gimp) Microsoft Office ( Linux -Libre Office), but as those who use the former will tell in some instances the latter lack features they need and have become use to. On the flip side,e if you can't afford Photoshop or you can't afford Microsoft Office (which is know a Office 365 subscription you will have to pay for) Linux equivalent software is a worthy alternative for many.

You can run some Mircosoft software and 3rd party software in Wine and/or PlayOnLinux

About malware, viruses, worms, & trojans...

All computers are susceptible to virus. Linux desktop users only represent about 2% of the computer world... t's just less subject to hackers developing viruses that target Linux systems. Without out getting techincal, Linux doesn have some built in features to protect if from viruses and the heterogeneous nature of Linux Distor's gives it a lot of protection. So, what I'm saying you have to be sensible about what you download... if you use Firefox extensions you have a safe computer.

2. Well, since there is no freaking investment, you can't complain can you? You CAN download it for free - just that I won't LET you, because I refuse to let the creator of it, holed away in a room somewhere, experience that much pain..... and it's one of many distributions which are ALSO downloadable for free, and seems to me, have a little more funding than this one guy.....which means they pay less out of their pocket by running the server which that website runs on, and which lets you download those FAT ISO files!!

But it's the quirky "little" distros which catch my heart - which is why I want to push them towards ppl like you.....and really, I don't think he's lying about the stuff he's put on that page - if he says it has MP3 support out-of-the-box, well then, it probably has goddamn exactly that! Is it so hard to send him a couple of bucks?

Me personally, I only ran a live disc some time back (means some releases ago), and from what I remember, it ran just fine.....it has all the "cool" consumer stuff installed - Steam, VLC, etc. etc. which seems a perfect fit for a typical Orger

It is, indeed much harder to catch a virus on Linux. 1) Far fewer exist 2) When you download some software for Linux from the net, it's not a "setup.exe", but rather a .deb or an .rpm - a ".exe" can contain viruses, a "deb" opens in something called a "package manager" which will let you install that software, well, more securely, though there's a lot more to it than that.... (which you prolly dont wanna know...) And of course, nowadays there's even "software centers" INSIDE the OS, like, essentially an "app store". You pay ZERO for these, for most common softwares....i.e. the company's running even the download server out of it's own pocket.....

and 3) Due to Linux's insides (again, skipping boring tech details, not all of which I'm clear about myself), if you don't run proggy's with "root" permissions, it's well nigh IMPOSSIBLE to compromise the system.....

Just try it on a live disc, bro, you don't like it, nothing lost..... just, if you do wish to do that please go for Ubuntu - but if it's this Makulu, or Mint, or Bodhi, then I would reaaaaaaaaaally like it if you're contribute.... You'll get help out of me much easier that way.....

Barring an actual hardware fault, it would be almost certain.....

YOU CAN TRY IT ON A LIVE DISC WITHOUT TOUCHING YOUR WINDOZE SYSTEM!!!! So - the easiest way to find out is to try...... but if you're going to download, please read the advice I gave KoolEaze.....

Can´t give you the specs off the top of my head but I don´t do much on my computer. Internet stuff, Facebook, listening to music, watching streams and Youtube stuff, some writing. Really minor stuff. Very very basic things.

Thats very true....!

One of the biggest advantages, you have all most total control on what programs you want to run on your machine. One of the biggest surprise people will realize is how lil space a Linux Distro use of a HDD / SDD. You have some Distors that a bare-boned and you basically have to build the applications / OS you want.

If you've been using Microsoft forever, it may be a big adjustment for some and for others, none. Again, it depends how people use their your computer.

One of the cool things that happened are these single board computers... Linux does have apps on Apple and Android that allow users to connect Linux and their mobile devices. For those who've complained, Linux requires too many work around.... only computer savvy people would know what to do, this is changing.
