This just breaks my heart! I adored him as an actor and would look for movies he was in because he was always so good. Damn.

But you know what I just read? He was with his partner for 50 years. Fifty years! Since the age of 19.

That was truly a special love and a such a great blessing! He'll be missed but it's a comfort to know he was so loved.

Totally agree. I found that out today and its amazing! Apparently they also got married recently, a quiet ceremony just the two of them in New York and afterwards they wandered across the Brookly Bridge for dinner; how sweet.

My heart goes out to Mrs Rickman though. What a whole in her life this must leave

I just watched 'A Little Chaos' the week before he died, and enjoyed it all the more because he was in it.

'Something the Lord Made' and 'Galaxy Quest' are two of my all-time favorite movies.

Professor Snape.... siiiigh... nobody could have played him any better. Somebody on twitter asked JK Rowling to tell them (us) something she had only ever told Alan. She replied that she told him the meaning behind "always".
