Junior and the Baseball HoF

I want to know who are the three or four baseball writers who didn't vote to enshrine Ken
Griffey, Jr into the baseball hall of fame so that we may disparage them publicly.

The Kid should've been unanimously voted in with 100%.

I forgot to add the requisite gushing about Junior's swing, which was the most aesthetically
pleasing swing in baseball history, imo.

There's something about being left-handed that makes a swing gorgeous, and Griffey had
it.

Agreed but I am sure those three morons didn't vote for Junior just so they'd get their names on the internets.

What I want to do is find 15 more voters for Jeff Bagwell. Bags is so close and he should be in, IMO. And before anyone shouts "STEROIDS!" remember - he played with known steroid user Roger Clemens for a few years, and absolutely no one has even suggested that Clemens and Bagwell were steroid buddies. They weren't. Clemens did them, Bagwell didn't.

It has been suggested that the three stooges were voting strategically and there were more players on the ballot eligible this year (in their opinion) than they were allowed to vote for. So they passed on the no-doubter like Griffey to instead vote for players that needed votes more--like Alan Trammell. shrug

Hopefully one day Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens get in.

Isn't it funny how the Lords of Baseball, the media and fans looked the way when these steroid cats were hitting HRs in 1998. Everyone knew the deal, but people were filling the stadiums and the cash was rolling in. Now folks want to take the moral high ground against these guys.

Yup...those same writers gave Barry Bonds SEVEN MVP awards! Some were before the roids, but a few of those MVPs were after everyone knew Barry was juiced.

Make it so, Number One...

Exactly. They sure didn't have a problem with Sammy Sosa and McGuire home run
chase.

That was the best summer of baseball I have ever seen.

The MLB should allow steroid use. It does not help you hit.
