What are you doing on Tuesdays? smile

Just kidding. We don't have to clean our house nearly as much now that the kids are at college. Just some dusting every couple of weeks.

It's AMAZING how much activity those kids did, and how much it took to keep things straight.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I can keep it looking neat consistently or I can let it get littered with trash and dirty dished. Depends on my mood/energy level.

Literally every single day. I've always been a bit of a clean freak but now with two babies in the house (one's mine, the other's my cousin's) I'm super neat. My cousin says I have OCD smile

"A pretty house don't make a home".

I usually do some cleaning once or twice a week. I like to keep my kitchen clean, so I make sure dishes are done and counters are clean everyday. Bathrooms should be cleaned weekly too.

No, its called having a JOB. All honest work is honorable. Exploitation is when you are abled body yet, you collect a monthly check, for childcare, food, housing medical because you didn't prepare yourself to take care of yourself. My grandmother supported nine children doing day-work, her daughter ( my mother) did the same to pay her way through college. It was a means to an end... my grandmother's nine children didn't follow in her footsteps. wink

If you must know...

We also pay a man to cut and groom our lawn and remove our snow. Once upon a time he worked Maytag in St. Joe Michigan, but Maytag Inc. (also of St. Joe) moved all of they're manufacturing to China.

This generation has it twisted about work and what they can or can't do or what's beneath them. Folks with that mentality are either living in their momma's basement or hitting folks in the head and taking the shit they've worked for. neutral

Adorecream

I'm a neatness freak and he is a complete slob. Vacuuming at least 3 times a week, dusting every fortnight, sweeping kitchen every day several times, dishes 3times a day.

.

Clean out fridge, pantry, oven every few months.

.

Tidying little things and putting them away, every few minutes!!!

.

Don't mind it though, grew up in a real house proud family and it's like second nature to me. I don't need to hire help, (Few people do in New Zealand) we are self sufficient here. Most of us are taught to stand on our own two feet early on. I have been running my own household since I was 11 and have been living independently away from parents since 18 (Well actually they are dead now).
