Hollywood actor Charlie Sheen has been revealed to be the Hollywood actor diagnosed HIV-positive, a major US website claims.

The star is set to talk to America’s Today programme in the morning but US website Radar have revealed his identity ahead of his appearance.

Speculation was mounting Sheen was to be named this week by a US magazine as living with the disease.

But today producers of the breakfast show took to Twitter to announce they were interviewing the actor.

The way he was acting a few years ago, he was selling that his life was so ideal.

Really messed up news. I like Charlie Sheen. Hopefully he hasn't infected anyone else, though.

The good news is HIV is not the killer it once was. One of my brothers was HIV positive when he died(2003). AIDS wasn't what killed him, and he had been living with the virus since at least 1990. So if a person takes care of him/herself, there is hope.

Still a bummer though.

A couple days ago, i briefly read about Charlie possibly being the "mystery actor", but in reading the article in the link that XxAxX posted. It appears that Charlie did indeed infected at least one other person.

I still support him but he's a fucking asshole, and might just be a criminal.

I wish him all the luck, am I shocked by this news, No.

Hopefully he can manage his addictions and stay sober. This must be a pretty big wake-up call.

Condoms are not a luxury invention.

This is all a shame. He really is a decent actor, but personally he's become incredibly lost and pathetic. Hope he's able to turn his life around for the better. Looks like he's officially announced his diagnosis this morning on the Today show.

he's colorful all right, but that doesn't mean he deserves HIV. poor guy. someone passed it along to him without telling him either. imo the entire situation is kind of tragic and its not like charlie sheen needed more negative publicity right now. edited to add: i really hope he did not expose anyone else deliberately. i'd feel a bit less compassionate if that is really true

When the Enquirer hits the stands tomorrow, they are publishing claims that Charlie is bisexual. So of course people are going to say that's how he was infected. It wasn't from the porn star(s) and parade of prostitutes. It was from the men he allegedly slept with.

You clearly have no understanding of what it means to be transgender. It does not mean that you are irresponsible or a freaky sex machine!

I think that anybody who had unprotected sex with Charlie Sheen is responsible for the riskk they are taking themselves.


It's different when you have sex with a person who is not famous, because you might not know anything about his/her sexual past. But it has never been a secret, that Charlie Sheen was the winner of all hedonists.

His life style of having fun at parties, using drugs & alcohol and enjoy sex with a lot of different people had never been a secret, so everybody participating made that choice for themselves.

So, acting suddenly surprised that you may have caught a disease (or two) after having had sex with Charlie Sheen is absolutely ridiculous.

Of course, Charlie should have been using condoms. And if he did not, he is an asshole.

But if his sex partners did not demand/wear a condom themselves, I think they are just as liable.

Charlie Sheen looks to be a landmark case in the making. on the one hand his partners were consenting adults who should have been responsible for their own physical safety during sex. but once sheen knew or should have known that he was HIV positive he had a duty to inform his partners of the additional risk they were taking during sex and he should have been responsible enough to use condoms to protect his partners. i guess we'll see how far the law can intrude into the bedroom when it comes to full disclosure. a lot of settlement money will change hands. i guess ultimately the lesson is and always will be: safe sex

Excuse you, don't put words in my mouth. I've never said anything in THIS thread about "having sex with a trans person will get you HIV/AIDS". I was only acknowledge how Charlie Sheen has lived his personal life in an irresponsible matter. Having sex with anyone without protection is high risk.

Yes, he should have told his sex partners to protect themselves.

However, if you have unprotected sex, you knowingly take the risk to get infected.

it was not mystery he was the first person everyone thought of when it was first announced....
