Good movie, a lovely modern fairytale, you get to love the main character, a shy young woman with and her particular way of see things; always longing for love and healping others to find their hapiness, until the day comes. Lovely film, but once again, overrated. 3.5/5

Taxi Driver

I know this is a classic, but for me this story about an isolated and lonely taxi driver is very unfocus, to me the storyline is very weak, his actign is good, but nothing more about it. And what is the greatness about the scene " You talking to me?". Very overrated. 2.5/5

Pound of Flesh: I'm not hating or jealous,....but...When a Director spends the FIRST 5-min filming every angle of Jean Claude Vandame's naked body (minus his Dick & Nutz) just to "sell" a dumb Plot is when you realize these Aging Action Stars gots to do WHATEVER to make that Coin...LOL....2/Out of 5-stars...

Becoming paranoid after his research into serial killers, a writer must confront his numerous demons in order to make it to an important meeting about his screenplay.

I just couldn't fully get into it. I started to do other things when it was on and then tuned in again at the end. Very meh.

Good movie, i have got a good time watching it, good movie, but sooo overrated. It's not that great. It's like a cool way of dealing with heavy topics like drug abuse. 3/5

Room (2015) - After five-year-old Jack and his mother escape from the enclosed surroundings that Jack has known his entire life, the boy makes a thrilling discovery: the outside world.

There are incredible performances by the two leads, Brie Larson and Jacob Tremblay as the mother and son. 4.5/5

Spotlight (2015)

I enjoyed this so much, it was surprisingly exciting although the subject matter was sad. I exepcted Michael Keaton to be the stand out actor, but really the whole cast was superb.

If you will, so will I

A bit formulaic and it's way over-scored, but I enjoyed it:

Chi-Raq (2015) - A modern day adaptation of the ancient Greek play Lysistrata by Aristophanes, set against the backdrop of gang violence in Chicago.

It was goofy--which I suppose is to be expected given the premise. I would have preferred the tone to be more even throughout though. And the rhyming dialogue became tiresome after awhile for me. Having said all that, it was nice to see Mad Men alum Teyonah Parris in a starring role. 3/5

A Very Murray Christmas (Sofia Coppola: 2015, 56 min)

I love traditional Christmas specials: Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole have melted my soul. The Peanuts Gang have softly jazzed me 'round a meager dishevelment that could barely stand on its own. Even Donny and Marie have made the hearth seem appropriately festive.

But perhaps we could use more counterpoints. Not cynicism, nor insecurity looking to trample on someone else's beauty. But an irreverent polar opposite that plays off your professionally gift-wrapped expectations. Something that warms like a feast in the microwave while you unfold the TV trays, unwrap the holiday napkins, and spit shine the lonely sporks.

I will be watching again, and, who knows, perhaps even again and again.

The only "normal" is the one that we define for ourselves.

No rating, not a movie, not even feature length.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

8/10

The plot was a little flimsy and too reminiscent of Star Wars: A New Hope. But I liked the
character development and it was really cool to see a representation of ethnic pluralism as
well.

SPOILER ALERT:

I teared up when Kylo Ren has just vanquished Finn and is now mixing it up with Rey. Kylo
begins to use the force to grab his uncle's (Luke) lightsaber that is lodged in the snow, but so
is Rey, and when the lightsaber flew past Kylo in to Rey's hand, and she proceeded to get it
in with him, I welled up!

The Sessions 5 stars out of 5

Great acting by John Hawkes, Helen Hunt and a very funny William H. Macy. This true story about the poet Mark O'Brien's life is very inspiring.

How so?

Because it sucked in almost every conceivable way.

Merely a fan-boy and a a machine (Disney) together to create a new generation Star Wars with none of the mythology and Skywalker family story.

I really, really can't go into all the ways it sucked, but let's start with the villiain...Kylo Ren...basically a fan boy imitating Darth Vader; he doesn't even need a mask but wears one as a tribute!!

A movie made for all those who have been raised to say that George Lucas sucks and we need a new vision. George Lucas's stories, ALL OF THEM INCLUDING THE PREQEL TRILOGY, were his vision; especially the prequel movies that were his vision completely; Empire and Jedi has writers helping out.

No vision in TFA, no mythology, no real continuing of the events after Jedi, no continuing of the family story, just a machine for all those "fans." The whole bullshit Kylo/Han story was simply a weak retelling of Empire.

Maybe the most disappointing movie ever; at least up there with "Superman 3" and "Rocky V."

Well here's my guess, most of the love are from people who dismiss the prequels, love JJ Abrams prior work like the "fantastic" Star Trek reboot and thinks George Lucas is a hack. I happen to think that George Lucas was a true artist who told a story from his heart and this project was based on a 4.2 billion dollar investment that Disney made and had to insure that this would appeal to the broadest youngest movie going public.
