This is the very first thing I heard about this morning. According to our news outlet it wasn't drugs, but too much herbal viagra. eek Two girls in the cat-house found him face down on the bed with liquid coming from his mouth. Lucky he was face down or he may have choked to death.

It's sad to see a talented guy go down like that. Being easily led is really bad.

I'm sorry to hear he can't cope with life issues and poisened himself.

Let's hope he will heal.

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

That's what I always liked about him. I don't personally know the man but he always seem to to come across genuinely nice.

Latest reports say that in addition to herbal viagra there was coke, alcohol and opiates. disbelief

He's had liver failure and several strokes now. According to the girls and the owner they interviewed on Inside Edition he was partying with them until that final night when he told them he wanted to be alone.

Makes me wonder if this was a suicide attempt?

I'm hearing conflicting reports about whether or not he's still with Khloe. I heard in one report that their divorce was finalized and in another report that they are still legally married. If they ARE legally married, he's probably just lonely and desperate to get her back and perhaps that's why he spiraled out of control.

He's experienced a lot of loss in his life,
Love, light & healing to him.

I was thinking the same. These guys live their whole lives hoping to break into professional sports, then they get devoured with the glitz, glamor, drugs, alcohol, etc. and it destroys their lives. I hope he gets well soon.

I'm not trying to joke at all here but he must have planned to tear the cat house up by

taking too much herbal viagara. I hope the guy gets better. He has a lot to live for and

basketball shouldn't be the tail end of his life.

If folks had been drafted, the story would be SO much different.

That's what my generation (baby boomers) fought and protested to achieve... stand on the sidelines, wave a flag, clap in airports, and along street curbs. wink Of course it would help a lot if American's actually knew something about history, geography, and the geater world... could prevent a whole lof of shit. A draft would for sure nip a lot of bullshit Wars in the ass. But, I've give up on that hope.

I've digressed.

Its been reported on msn.com, Odom had been on a coke and "herbal viagra" binge. The herbal viagra was a cocktail of 10 different types of "herbal viagra".

Wow. neutral

I don't follow sports etc, so may have some of the details wrong, but didn't he lose his Mother & Grandmother to cancer as a child? And wasn't his father a Nam vet who was basically ruined due to drug addiction?

Fame/money but no real family to speak of, what I saw of him he seemed like a sweetheart.
Liver failure & strokes... scary.

I don't think it's some kind of contest but when I have some issue with media coverage I contact those media outlets directly and complain to the ombudsman or station manager.

But that's just me..... shrug

Bullshit. It's noted all the time when military personnel are killed in other
countries. On local news it's definitely reported if a member is from your area.
People give athletes a hard time because of their salaries but don't see the work
the majority put in behind the scenes.

ABC7NY

BREAKING NEWS: ABC News has confirmed Lamar Odom has opened his eyes and said something. Eyewitness News has also learned from sources that he said "good morning," gave the doctors a thumb's up. Those sources also say he is breathing on his own. http://7ny.tv/1ZJ2EJk

I've just read on NBC sports that his condition has improved. What a trooper

...though many of us can see there's going to be a long road to recovery, but he can do it. I wonder if Scott is learning from this and stay in rehab.

Good news. Good 4 him.
The death culture don't get 2 pick another's fallen bones this time, thinly veiled vampire voyeurism.
Speedy recovery Lamar.

i'm glad he's getting better. i hope he finds his peace and happiness again, he deserves to be well.

.

it strikes me as odd, though, that his confidential medical status has been the subject of tweeted broadcasts from his 'estranged wife's' family: who authorized the kardashians to release any information whatsoever about his medical status publicly?

.

and moreover, to have a kardashian family member tweet out about how we should respect his privacy is, well, ironic in that light seeing as how they are the source of a lot of leaked bits and pieces and for drawing the spotlight to themselves yet again.

.

god bless them all but imho they best thing the kardashians could do for mr. odom is leave him alone for about a year.

I hope this fool doesn't die that way I don't have to hear about his funeral where every leech attends saying how he was such a great guy despite being a drug addict.

And he has to live with the shame of needing herbal viagra to satisfy skanks at a brothel biggrin

That's the problem I have with this story too. I saw one short story on CNN that had input from any of his actual family. Otherwise it's being reported as if it's another episode of the kardashian reality show.
