I´m surprised that he is still getting money from the studios to make more movies, considering how many of his movies were flops. Don´t get me wrong, I wish him nothing but success but it makes you wonder why they keep financing his movies flop after flop.

I can't see the video, but I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say you all are talking about M.Night Shyamalan?

I don't think his movies have lost money except for his very very first one. The one before "6th Sense".

"After Earth" made

$243,843,127

worldwide.

Apart from the first couple of films, everything he's written has been profitable (sometimes massively so) - although the majority of his films since The Sixth Sense have been shit awful.

You know I've only seen The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs and The Village. I was done after The Village. I'll wait until I see quite a few thumbs up before I go see another.

I know he was just the executive producer, but Wayward Pines was good

Lady in the Water was good but the problem with that is they promoted that film as a horror film. It was more of a fantasy film which pissed off alot of horror fans

I've seen all of them. I only liked Sixth Sense, Unbreakable and Devil (which he wrote but didn't direct, and is really good). Couldn't stand the rest - especially The Happening, which is probably one of the worst films I've ever seen. I'll probably see The Visit at some stage, but I don't think I'll be going to the cinema to see it.

Thanks for the info, I really didn´t know that and was too lazy to do the research because I had the impression that almost all his movies after Unbreakable, Signs and The Sixth Sense were flops.

Never knew they recouped the expenses.

His movies are ridiculed online and even by audiences, but they do alright in the states, and then make all the other money overseas. That's the power of celeb casting.

Personally the one movie of his that I found to be all the way stupid was "The Happening". I never saw "The Last Airbender".

Unfortunately I have no desire to see it.

I say "unfortunately" because after Signs I was a big M.Night fan.

"The Village" was interesting but left me empty. Much like Graffiti Bridge I WANTED to like it.
"Lady In The Water" was interesting but got too amateurish at the end. I hated the stupid ending.

"The Last Airbender" was a big disappointment - the cartoons were so cool that I expected more.

"Devil" was a step in the right direction.

"After Earth" was a big bore yawn

"The Happening" - I never had an interest in going to see it. shrug

yeahthat Even with Marky Mark, New Girl and John Leguizamas it really blows. I went to see it in the theathers on the strength of the trailer, people falling out of the sky and shit, but it's just so lame and quite depressing how they warranted it rolleyes. I'm skeptical about The Visit. Do you wanna get into the oven to clean it? nuts neutral

For all time I am with you, you are with me.
