September 27 / September 28, 2015 — Total Lunar Eclipse

In the US, Canada, and Central and South America, this rare Total Lunar Eclipse of a Supermoon will begin on theevening of September 27, 2015. In Europe, South/East Asia, Africa, the Arctic, and in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans it starts after midnight on September 28, 2015.

Also called a Blood Moon this eclipse will last for about 1 hour and 12 minutes.

All jokes aside it sure is pretty here in CT and we have a great view of the eclipse so far... Hope it stays that way for the rest of the night; my 11 y.o is loving it!

yeah, i just came from outside viewing the eclipse (8:31pm pdst). scary-awesome.

I envy those who were able to see this... I looked but nothing but the usual clouds obscurring stars. And, no, the world hasn't ended here yet...although maybe it just hasn't tipped enough for us to fall off the flat edge... razz lol
