holidays and the internet

don't know if anyone agrees with me but i think booking your holidays was much easier in the days

before the internet, all you had to do then was pay for your holiday and then two weeks before

departure they sent your tickets,it couldn't have been any simpler, iam all for new technology but

only if it improves the previous system, despite all this on-line check-in you still end up in a massive

queue,to do the check-in requires a trip to the library to use their pc as i like many other people

don't have a printer,if you are going away for 2 weeks certain airlines only allow you to print the

outward journey, this means you have to get your return tickets printed while you are abroad,of

course they will let you print both journeys if you are prepared to pay extra by choosing your seat.

....donno which country u're in or what the system is over there, but....why would you end up in a queue exactly?

what's WRONG with the booking system? (besides the printing stuff u mentioned)

how would u like it to be?

hi i'm in the uk,i was recently on holiday in spain and on the way back i was in a massive queue at

alicante airport,i guess what i am trying to say is that all this on-line check-in stuff hasn't made

going on holiday any easier,i know it sounds like i am talking about the'good old days'but at the risk

of repeating myself what could be easier than getting your tickets in the post ?

It often depends on the airline, airport and ho many people have checked in online. If it's international and you have luggage, online check in can mean fuck all. You still have to que to hand over you bags and they view your passport. It's quicker per person but on one trip the or check in aisle
Was far longer than the unchecked in lane.

You can still use a travel agent and they will post your printed e tickets in a nice travel wallet if you ask them too. And when
Stuff goes wrong , it's far better to have that personal
Contact who can help quickly rather than someone in an overseas call centre who passes you all over the place and doesn't understand your needs.

Well...in that case, you'd have to remember to TAKE 'em smile Your phone you just carry around with you anyway, right?

Out of curiosity, is there any thing you feel that's wrong with the user interface of ticket booking websites? Anything you'd improve?
