He was decent in the first half but very shoddy in the second. The talk out of training camp was that Jesse James was having a good camp but if he keeps dropping
passes like that during preseason games he won't make the cut of 75.

Yeah Jones was decent the first half but fell apart in the second half. Jesse James didn't help by dropping passes, to bad the guy has the height but needs to focus. Rooting for Alejandro Villanueva.

Is it just me or does any other Steeler fan think Ryan Shazier is better suited outside

than inside. No question he has the skill set I just don't know if he's physical enough

to play inside. I watched him bounce off of Minnesota's TE after he caught a pass and

I remember him making tackles as a rookie and being dragged another 5 yards before

getting the defender on the ground. I think Vince Williams is a better plugger in the middle

and he finds the football. Ryan may have a little more speed to cover TE's but if you're being

dragged another 5 yards or bouncing off them trying to tackle what good is speed. I'm afraid

the Steelers are letting a very good player ride the pine trying to make Shazier a star in the

middle and Williams is sure to bounce after this season.

That's the operative phrase. Tanehill is usually "on" about half the season; that's one of the main reasons why the Fish can't get over the hump. Their specialty players are nice, but they need better line play.

Based on their division, MIA could make it to the playoffs. They always play NE tough at home, and the Jets and Bills won't light up the scoreboard. They have 2 games vs. a healthy Pats D, 2 games v. a potentially elite Bills D, and 2 games v. a resurgent Jets D. Those games are pretty frontloaded this year, and they'll avoid the cold weather games in December (their only road game in Dec. is at the Chargers) BUT, they'll have to face some potent offenses out of division.

I'd still say they're headed to 8-8 or 9-7 because the jury is still out on Tanehill and the O-Line.

I think that building a team around Tannehill is smart. I think he has a good deal of potential.

I do too.. He's middle-of-pack with a top-10 ceiling. They need more line help. He's just got to face Brady 2x year for the next several years. He's also got to face 3 good-to-elite defenses in his own division.

He has to face Brady the next several years? I doubt it seriously Brady will last another 5

years at an elite level. He's already 38. lol

This could only happen to the Jets. Or maybe the Browns. But this is definitely a New York Jets kind of thing:

http://deadspin.com/geno-...1723397727

Head coach Todd Bowles announced today that QB Geno Smith will likely be out until October, after he was hit by LB Ikemefuna “I.K.” Enemkpali in a locker-room fight this morning. Bowles used the words “cold-cocked” and “sucker-punched,” and said Enemkpali has been cut. Enemkpali was the Jets’ sixth-round pick in the 2014 draft.

Smith’s broken jaw will need surgery. This means Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the Jets’ starting QB for at least the first month or so of the season.

Now you have Ryan Fitzpatrick, but I see your point.

However, it appears the punch was a sucker punch, and the dude was cut immediately.

I get what you're saying as Geno has been inconsistent in his career but no one deserves to be

sucker punched and suffer a broken jaw as a result of a coward ass teammate. I'm glad Todd

Bowles cut the jackass who did this to Geno.

story has it, they were talking shit back & forth about non-football related stuff...then Geno walks up to the dude and puts his finger in the dude's face, and dude knocked Geno's jawbone into orbit...

Golden rule...dont put your finger in someone's face...

especially not an NFL linebacker...

Geno Smith always struck me as mentally slow...what a fool...and the other guy had to know, you knock out the Quarterback, youre fired...Geno must have smashed his wife or baby momma...no other reason makes sense

If ESPN report is accurate:

IK invited Geno to IK's football camp and Geno agreed.

IK paid for his airline ticket.

Geno's friend died suddenly and Geno didn't make the flight to IK's camp.

IK wanted Geno to reimburse him for the flight. 600 bucks.

Argument ensues and IK sucker-punches Geno.

*Russell Wilson got paid, and I mean REALLY got paid. Can he take the Seahawks back to the Super Bowl?

I can hardly wait to see Jimmy Graham play as part of his team tonight! Go Hawks!

*The 49ers are a train wreck. Is Colin Kapernick a good enough conductor to undo all the screw-ups that Jim Harbaugh left the team with?

Aldon Smith is fired. Colin Kaepernick was messing around with his ex. Maybe they didn't fight. Even if one had nothing to do with the other, and even if he's able to get the ball down the field for a change, I don't like the guy, he's a train wreck. tease
