Time Warner Cable reigns supreme in the Carolinas, but I've always stayed with DirecTV..My bill averages about $200 a month..I get everything including all of the premium channels and I have a few HD-converter units...I think their Call Center is in India...I always have to ask the Lady "What did you say?"

Except York County in SC. Comporium Cable has York County on lock.

Their programming and service is exceptional.

The reason why we cut the chord? We weren't satisfied with quality of programing we were paying for. A movie channel shouldn't have commercials dammit. The stations with commercials — sometimes spanning 10 minutes long - made watching anything enjoyable. Comcast, "On Demand" feature is a joke. Many of the movies that were once "free," have been moved over to the pay section. A lot of movies that once went straight to HBO, Showtime, Encore, or Max now stay part of pay programming, forever. Cut... lol

I enjoy sports but I can live without it. I didn't watch the NFL last year and I won't be watching football for the foreseeable future... and I survived. shrug I have season tickets for baseball so my sports viewing unless its on "free" TV... out of sight out of mind.

Let me say this about the contracts that cable networks - Turner, ESPEN, and Fox - have with American college and professional sports. Young people arent' watching TV... if its not on the net its not relavent to them. They should take note of what has happened to the music industry... wink

Girl, after that last super bowl I'm not sure I still have faith in the NFL anymore. I still love my Steelers but the league is looking more and more shady. These days it's easy to get the few movies that are even worth seeing. Thankfully I still do a lot more reading than tv watching and the stuff I love such as Xmen, Star Trek, etc. I still go to the theatre to share the geek-out experience. biggrin

I'm old enough to remember when no commercials was acually the selling point of cable tv. Once they got everybody hooked that didn't last long.

These days you practically can't break wind without seeing a commercial somewhere. I was pumping gas the other day and there was a screen at the damned pump trying to sell me something.

Furhthermore Reality TV is starting to become more and more a bigger slice of the pie.

Anybody and their grandma is getting a damn reality show. I know a lot of youngsters that

are into the NFL and reality tv but probably not into quality programming. It would take a

show like Empire to grab their attention. I'm definitely getting fed up with Satellite/Cable and

I'm finding myself enjoying regular HD channels more and more. The NFL is probably the only

thing keeping me hanging on but that's by a thin thread.

You wanna know what was the last damn straw, the straw the broke the camals back ,the swizzle to the unswizzle .....? Sure you do.

Comcast / Encore took away my MF mad mad fight hmph! . Gunsmoke off. Every couple of years the snatch Gunsmoke off Encore. The don't snatch Gunsmoke off the air in the South.... fact you can watch it (Gunsmoke) twice a day!!!! This is some regional geographical ism or something. lol

This was the only series I watched consistently on TV besides maybe sports. For some reason I just can't watch TV in realy time anymore. Don't ask me why. I saw the pilot of Empire but missed the rest of the season. This is what I like about my Pi... someday I'll go on a binge and watch every episode. With no commercials...

The Bears and Culter are going to suck soooooooooooooo bad, folks will be running to listen to the radio because the watching that team , will be too painful. lol

Don't believe the hype or the media as it relates 2 Cutler and his relationship with the team.

On the field, the coaching, defense and scheme will be much improved. Coaching alone can get get u 4 win in the NFL during the course of a season. Add that 2 the 5 or 6 win they will get.....boom, 10 wins.

Sorry....I simply don't agree with u on Cutler.

The team had the worst defense, special teams and coaching the league last year. The OL & WR were injuried all year and he had very littel run support. Despite of of that, he had 3,800 years passing and 28 TDs. 3 ot of 4 of his interceptions were tips pass by his own receivers or late 2nd qtr or 4 otr desperation passes. Don't drink the media koolaide on Cutty. If that defense can somehow muster 15th in the NFL or so.........the Bears will win 10 games.

I remember seeing her nude in Bobbi Jo and The Outlaw and getting a woody.

If you had two 6ft 4 quality Wideouts Marshall and Jeffrey a 6 4 quality TE Bennett and a 1000 yd all purpose runner in your backfield in Forte and you still blow donkey balls yes you STINK. I think he has a good IQ but all those other things you mentioned are true. The biggest problem is heart or he was just scared shitless of Brandon Marshall. I don't know what it is Gray see in this guy but it sure as hell ain't a Super Bowl caliber qb. Jim Harbaugh was a better qb than this guy.

im not buying. Marshall and the other starting receiver both got hurt in the 1st game last year, and we're on and off hurt the entire season. The ol starters played in about 3 games together the entire season. forte lead the entire NFL in negative yards from scrimmage with at least 30 carries of one yard or more. The coaching of both sides of the ball was some of the worst I've ever witnessed at the NFL level. How anyone can look at the Bears the last two years and simple blame Cutler just doesn't understand what it takes to win in the NFL.

He didn't do a thing when he had a line...

I'm glad some have gotten over its a passing league because a damn good defense is needed to win. The day when you can have mediocre or serviceable QB and win in the NFL are over. I'll repeat Cutler neither mediocre or serviceable... he flat out can't play. Mechanics are mechanics, the fact Cutler has been in the league this long and nobody has broken of him of his bad habits... he is who he is. Folks have made excuses for him for far too long. That's why Denver kicked his ass to the curb.

I understand that football is a team game. I understand their issues on defense last year and

o line issues. I've watched Cutler play a long time even before he got to Chicago he was

up and down. Sometimes dude looks like he isn't even interested. He just doesn't have the

moxie or it factor. Can he play? Yes but he's wildly inconsistent. I watched Big Ben win a

Super Bowl in 2009 with a terrible offensive line. Do the names Chris Kemoteau, Trai Essex,

Willie Colon ring a bell? No. They were forgettable.

Except York County in SC. Comporium Cable has York County on lock.

Their programming and service is exceptional.

Comporium Cable? Never heard of that, but I'm glad the little known Cable company is not getting Beat down by DirecTV, Time Warner & Dish Network....

Exactly how does a QB who can't play, throw for 3800 yards and 28 td's?

The same QB that's lead the NFL for the last couple of years in interceptions. What was it last year 18? Not including 10 would have been interceptions that the opposing team dropped. You don't WIN NFL with those stats. I don't know why people think Cutler's the answer to Bears QB solutions, he should be holding a clipboard.

The Bears and Culter are going to suck soooooooooooooo bad, folks will be running to listen to the radio because the watching that team , will be too painful. lol

Bears win 10 games.

Only if they go 4-0 in the preseason and you count those wins.
