I love Woody Allen movies, but not a fan of Joaquin. I'll wait and see what the reviews are like before I decide whether to see it or not. Thanks for posting.

I'm not a big Phoenix fan, either. So far, the reviews are mixed, but critics judge Woody against his own work. As a fellow fan, I think you'll agree that even his "lower-tier" films are better than most. Good piece on the new one and his later work:

Looks interesting. Not a big Joaquin Phoenix fan here but I think I´ll watch this. Unlike most people, I really like Woody Allen´s newer films, too.

Very rare that I"ll go see a Woody Allen Flick but the lead actors usually get Oscar Nods...an August release date is kind of early but he has enough Hollywood-Respect that The Acedemy considers his work come December's Oscar-talks...
