No. This Mark Zuckerburg is so rich that I don't want to give him one cent of my money. Does this sound silly? Maybe it does, but this is how I feel.

Also, with facebook, you have to remember that you're not the client, you're the PRODUCT that they (Mark Zuckerburg the multibultidrultigazillionaire) use you to make more, more, mooooore munnnnyyy... [Edited 7/6/15 14:52pm]

You need to know how to use FB to your advantage. I'm not on there as myself, but under a fake name so that I can add only my very close friends and family. I have 30 friends on there total. We use it for arranging family get togethers, sharing photos, that sort of thing. www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

Never had an account and likely never will. It's really so people can spy on others and live vicariously through others. It's original intent of keeping loved ones closer has been lost to idiots that can't fart without posting it on FB or twitter.

Yes, I do. I like seeing links, events and people's pics on there.

Personal I don't do Facebook. But I just saw that it's adding a feature that alerts you to people who unfriend you. Sounds highly useful to an individual.

To an individual, I couldn't think of any usefulness, to an corporation that does a lot of advertising, highly useful.

Well it does keep feeding insecurities, thereby creating some sort of reaction that can be controlled and manipulated in somekind of way by some unknown omnious entity(s). So yeah, some individuals will care, I just don't see how it really is anything individuals need to fulfill their everyday lives.

Facebook can be useful and fun ... but with the way most people misuse it, it's not. So I don't bother with an account, Twitter is all I need. "Never let nasty stalkers disrespect you. They start shit, you finish it. Go down to their level, that's the only way they'll understand. You have to handle things yourself."

This. Facebook is amazing for getting in contact with people and stuff but the second it becomes more of a 'make a few statuses, post a few funny pics and talk to my friends using the chat function' it's probably time to log out.

Yes, I agree, but xtra stupid those who actually ask for your FB account I always use the same line "Hmm, I only use FB for family; no, I don't have Twitter (lie)" problem is: many people actually get HURT when you don't add them/let 'em add you to FB [Edited 7/8/15 17:31pm]

Recently opened an account to follow musicians/artists/authors etc etc. I don't do friends/fam etc on social media. "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I don't use it. I had a job once that forced me to have a FB account but once I quit that job I deleted that account and never looked back. I never added anyone that I knew on the account that the company forced me to get. I never liked the fact that they wanted their employees to put company related business on personal FB pages. Complete invasion of privacy and misuse of the employees if you ask me. Trolls be gone!

I have accounts on lots of different social networks and think FB is BY FAR the best in terms of interface and functions. It's also the only network where virtually all the people I know IRL are, which makes it by definition the one I use the most. . However I despise many of FB's neo-fascist policies, notably: - The 5000 friends limits. - The real name policy. - Choosing what content from our friends we see or not. - Having ridiculous so-called anti-spam policies that limits u a lot when it comes to sharing content in groups, inviting friends to events, inviting new friends, joining groups and basically everything else (I've been threatened of having my account closed for liking to many pages in a day!). - Having the ridiculous policy that one should only be connected with people they know IRL and not inviting strangers, and blocking accounts if suspected to invite people they don't know IRL. - Encouraging delation by giving people the option to click "I don't know this person" when u invite them, or "This person is using a fake name". And there's also the fact that there's a running bug on FB that unfriends u with people on a regular and random basis, that FB doesn't seem to be able to correct even though it's been going onj for years. Twitter or G+ don't unfriend me with anyone, so it's really something that FB could and should work out! . I have strong faith in Ello, which is still in development but quickly improving, and displays a taste for ethics that FB never had nor will ever have. I would love it to become bigger than FB but so far it's way too confidential and many people don't see the point in migrating A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Tell me about it. It became so stressful that in the end I just gave up and started accepting everyone, coworkers, family members I barely see, etc solution: I opened a Twitter account, for the real, personal and private me lol [Edited 7/10/15 4:58am]
