Terminator Genisys

Even though with the dreadful title, the God-awful CGI, and the C-list actors (Besides Arnold) I'm kind of excited about this film! I can't wait.

But for any one who's interested in the film, do you agree that they shows way too damn much in the trailer? Like I can swear the main twist of the story and almost like half of the film has been shown in the teasers, trailers, TV Spots, whatever..

When I watched T2, and the scene where the T-1000 and T-800 are near John in the hallway, and the tension is building because one of them you know is suppose to be the good guy. Well, they fucked up back then as well with revealing Arnold was the good guy in the trailers.. Imagine watching that scene the first time without knowing which one was good or bad.. It would've had a greater effect on the whole fucking audience!!!

But yeah, besides that, I can't wait!!!!

Well i´m not, the trailer is ridiculous. And why on earth would a terminator grow older?

Arnold looks sad as this old man trying to be all action figure.

Yeah I was think the same. Although a couple years back, Arnold explained that since it's living tissue outside, it can still age.. Meh, works for me lol
And what bugs me the most other than them giving away the plot twist in the trailer, is that there's too much references of the classic terminator films..
Still I hope this film is better than what I'm anticipating

I'm curious, hoping I actually get to go see it. But yeah the old terminator made me confused for a minute, but he's not the only one trying to let the world know hes still got it, seems to be a trend. Only seen the trailer in the movie theater. I do hate see trailer that tend to show all the best parts of a movie, I try avoid them.

yeah I can't bring myself to not watch a trailer lol like I get excited and then after I've watched it and I know it shows too much I'm like "ahh why did I watch that???"
That's happened with me for all of these trailers lol

Terminator Genisys top five mistakes imo (so far as we know)
1) showed the big twist of the movie in the trailer
2) Alan Taylor
3) Jay Courtney
4) CGI looks generic, and uninspired
5) PG-13

It's a time travel movie, of course there's going to be a lot of references to the first couple films. Did you ever see Back To The Future II? Same deal, it's all about re-living (or changing) the past.

I do agree they showed too much in the trailer, but the big plot twist isn't quite what it seems in the trailer. You'll have to watch the movie to know what I'm talking about. wink

My little review.

What i didn't like:
Jai Courtney - I feel he didn't do a good job, and his performance didn't live up to Michael Beihns' Kyle Reese...
Jai Courtney's performance was mediocre.

The Music - throughout the entire movie the music sounded generic and like the average-day action film. Throughout the whole movie, and they waited till the damn CREDITS to play the signature theme!! Brad Fiedel used his signature scary music synth-music and each villain had its' own theme! We don't get that here and if the composer had a theme for the villains, it was too generic for me to notice. The only throwback music besides the credits were in the opening scenes, and while they sorta do the scenes justice (barely), they don't blend in with the rest of the soundtrack.

Storyline - the whole plot is a bit rushed, almost every scene is rushed. Especially the earlier, 1984 scenes! I think they should've took their damn times in some scenes, ESPECIALLY the so-called "fight" between 1984 Arnold vs older Arnold! That fight scene ends WAY to damn fast and the wrong way!

Special Effects - Ok, you might as well call this film 'Terminator - CGI FEST!' Oh, I can't go any further about this, it gives me a headache thinking about it.

The TRAILERS - I keep ranting about the spoilers that the gave out during these teasers... But during the scene where Arnold says his famous, classic line "I'll Be Back", I said to myself "IMAGINE IF THEY NEVER PUT THAT IN THE TRAILER".
That's all, too much for me to waste my time typing about it.

Lacked the serious dramatic-tone from the originals... Even though parts were funny, I would've preferred a serious aproach

What I did like-

Genisys concept - this is actually pretty cool because it connects this story with modern-day technology.

Emilia Clarke - At first I really didn't like her. But she's a badass as Sarah Connor! And I digged her a bit

Arnold Schwarzenegger - My man Arnold did an awesome job coming back as the Terminator!

So all in all, I thought this was a pretty fun film.. 6/10
