If it weren't for the political climate, I think Russia would win this year - that song is very ESC. Austria's entry is great, but I doubt they'll win twice in a row. That leaves Australia, quality-wise, but that's not going to happen either. So my money is on Cyprus or Slovenia as great underdogs. England has a catchy tune, but too stylized even for Euro music. If Israel wins with that POS song, I'll never watch it again.

Not that I live-streamed both semifinals or anything... redface

Guess I picked a bad year to quit drinking...

the few times I've watched Eurovision it has disappointed the hell out of me, because I always expect (naively) electro numbers, eurodance, or some weird experiments, but it's always about sappy power ballads and ripoff attempts at american mainstream pop, ugh...

never again lol

It's a great song - it would raise the bar considerably for future ESCs.

Wow, I was way off. Then again, that's a badge of honor of some sort, right? lol

Quick PS - that Swedish song was shite.

i thought the quality of the songs was very good this year, i voted for latvia , i thought russia was

very good too,its a shame graham norton has to make snide comments about nearly every song, the

bbc needs to change its presentation-style if they are just going to ridicule the whole thing then they

might as well not bother.

I had the terrible misfortune of being sober when Eurovision was on this year. Never again!
