"The Kingsmen" _ ** out of *****

Entertaining to a point but good for the dollar show. Had I paid more I would have felt ripped off.

The reference to anal at the end of the movie seemed a little out of place but the action kept my attention.

I'm finishing up "Pulp Fiction" right now, before we head out to watch the new Mad Max movie. This is a dual review. Choose the review that fits you best!

THE REVIEW FOR GUYS
What an awesome movie! Holy crap is this just one giant fantastic explosion of a movie! Some of it moves a little slow, but dang does it hit a home run in almost every scene! Bruce Willis is just beyond cool in this movie. "Who's motorcycle is this?' "Zed's." "Where's Zed?" "Zed's dead, honey." Heck yeah! And the scene where Willis breaks out of the torture dungeon? Careful readers of my reviews will remember how I noticed this scene was homaged in "A Walk In Some Tombstones in a Dark Cemetary" or something like that. How cool is it to see Neeson homaging Willis? Are "homaged" and "homaging" words? They should be!

This movie not only gets 10 stars out of 10, but it gets an extra 2 stars because it came on right after "Resevoir Dogs". I could write a Movies I Only Saw The Last Half Of review on "Resevoir Dogs" but the truth is I only watched a couple minutes of it. But the couple minutes I watched contained the lyrics "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am...." Ha!

THE REVIEW FOR GIRLS
Don't watch this movie. You won't like it. Pretty much everyone dies and they all use bad language.

Just got back from "Mad Max". I don't think I can do this movie justice.

Because you see, this is a love it/hate it kind of movie. Not like "Pulp Fiction" but also exactly like "Pulp Fiction". Except the dichotomy isn't guys/girls but something/something else.

I have to tell you I didn't care for the movie, but I totally appreciated how well this movie was made. So if you like movies set on Desolation Island, where everyone's life sucks and it's only a matter of degrees of how much their life sucks, but has non-stop action, you're going to love this one.

There's no real plot. People just drive hot rods and blow shit up. Which reminds me! I signed up for a cool contest called "Blow Shit Up With Arnold". Yep - if you win, you get to blow shit up with Arnold! I don't think there could possibly be anything cooler than blowing shit up with Arnold.

To enter, go here: www.omaze.com/arnold. Even if you don't want to enter, watch this. It's the coolest thing you'll see all week!

I give Arnold maximum stars. I give "Mad Max" half-maximum stars, because half the people will love it and half the people will say "WTF was that?!?"

But everyone loves Arnold, so max stars - or should I say Mad Max stars!

Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) - In Victorian England, the independent and headstrong Bathsheba Everdene attracts three very different suitors: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer; Frank Troy, a reckless Sergeant; and William Boldwood, a prosperous and mature bachelor.

Carey Mulligan is absolutely radiant here. The camera loves her face. The cinematography was great too. I see myself watching this repeatedly on disc. star star star star 1/2

I find Carey Mulligan very likable and cute. Good actress, too.

Watched streaming on Netflix. 5 stars. Acting was top notch. There is a girl(flashback sequence) in this movie that looks exactly like a young Fiona Apple.

Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck 1/5

Advertised as giving huge insights into his life, it really offered nothing. It was just depressing. Sad footage of Kurt 'n' Courtney "taking care" of their baby Frances Bean. They looked pretty high to me. Courtney admits to taking heroin while pregnant but Frances "turned out fine."

While I love me a good documentary, I found this one to be average. I give it a 2/5 just because the music featured was great. Otherwise, as you said, the home movies were quite sad. You can absolutely understand why their daughter was taken away from them as a child, because Kurt and Courtney were a hot mess.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Bessie (HBO movie): star star 1/2 out of 5

Decent movie but the screen play sucked. Even though Queen Latifah did a great job in her portrayal of Bessie Smith, I was pleasantly surprised by Monique's performance as Ma Rainey. The showstopper of the movie though was Michael K. Williams. He's the reason why I've watched it two more times after first seeing it. Very underrated and talented actor. nod

Boyhood: star star out of 5

The performances were great but the storyline didn't keep my interest.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Finally got around to...

Lucy eh, 2.5/5 Not what I thought it would be. Started find for a minute and went down from there.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies 3/5 adding points because I'm going to buy it anyway to complete my LotR set, but I liked the Desolation of Smaug better. And I wasn't in the mood for all the doom and gloom to close out a movie with.

Wish they were making another Stargate movie, damned rumors tick me off.

Before I Go To Sleep starstarstarstarstar

excellent, truly chilling film. amazing performance by Nicole Kidman, featuring a plot wherein a woman awakens each morning without no memory of her life prior, similar to Sandler and Barrymore in 'The First Fifty Dates'. the protagonist is suffering amnesia as a result of a violent attack, and her journey to full recollection is excrutiating to watch. highly recommend for those who enjoy slow building suspense plots with a twist.

I recently watched a beautiful but dark movie called "Somebody's Darling" with a small group and everyone liked it! 5/5

Okay... it's actually my first movie. I've been working on it for many years to try to make something worth people's time. It's been a childhood dream of mine to make a feature movie, and a scary one to boot. And now I've done it after thousands of hours over many many years. Please, check out my trailer right here:

and support your fellow prince fanatic, support indie microbudget filmmaking...

Please like the movie's facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/...ngthemovie

I also just made a fancy website for it here: http://somebodysdarlingthemovie.com

I hope you enjoy! Im a first time chef, but I put a lot of care into this full course meal.

Yesterday, I watched Top Hat (Fred Astaire, Ginger Rogers) for approximately the millionth time. Truly one of my "desert island" movies. It just makes me completely happy - there isn't a second of it that doesn't make me smile.

I watched the first 30 minutes of "John Carter" yesterday. Boy, did it suck.

I tried to explain to my wife and son at dinner what happened in that first 30 minutes of this movie. But they got confused when I mentioned the Civil War, Mars, fat green hippopatami, Grasshopper Men, and humans dressed like Roman gladiators. And that was all in one sentence!

Perhaps this movie would be awesome if you were massively intoxicated. Perhaps this movie was financed by the liquor industry, or quite possibly the hallucinagenic mushroom industry. Or perhaps I just don't get science fiction.

At any rate, I thought this movie was a collossal bomb. Zero Grasshopper Men out of Who Cares How Many Grasshopper Men there were on Mars.

Interstellar 3.5/5 awesome visually, liked the concept, didn't really connect or feel for the characters though, in the end. Don't feel the need to watch again. It isn't Inception.

The Imitation Game 4/5 That made me so sad for him even though he could be kind of pain in the butt, he's ending was terrible and unfair.

If I'd watched more of it, I might have given it negative Grasshopper Men, LOL. I read the Wikipedia page on this movie, just to see if I could understand the plot. I couldn't.

But I found out this movie was a financial disaster - despite pulling in over $200 million worldwide. Heck, Disney spent over $100 million just marketing it. This movie cost some poor guy his major studio job, and he wasn't even the guy that greenlighted the movie. They'd already fired THAT guy, then they fired the next guy for not cutting their losses and cancelling the movie.

Just finished watching The Loft It wasn't bad. I'd give it about a 7. Just as good as Gone Girl was to me. Maybe because I was expecting more from Gone Girl and was expecting less if The Loft. I didn't see the twist coming.
