Mobile truck shops, scourge of the ghettos

Do you guys have these in America. We have them in New Zealand and they prey on poor Islanders and Maoris in the ghetto parts of Auckland and Wellington. These are trucks full of clothes, food, personal care products, TV's Dvds and all that stuff. The people they serve are usually bone poor, unemployed, labourers, low IQ, sickness beneficiaries and all Islander or Maori living in impoverished areas. The trucks offer the products on credit with no cash down on massively inflated prices. An example of some prices (NZ$ =80 cents USA and 50p British, almost parity with Canada and Australia and about 65 Eurocents)

.

Cereal - $40 a box

Biscuits (cookies) - $24

32 Inch TV - $1000

Samsung Galaxy Tab - $2,500

Clothes - $180 average top, $100 cheap chinese sneakers

Rap Cd's - $85 each

DVD movies - $99 each

Can of fruit salad - $15

Nappies - $2 each disposables

Milk 2 litre - $8 (About a half gallon)

Coca cola fizzy drink 1.5 litre (2 quarts) - $15

Noodles - $15 a packet of 5 servings.

.

Most contracts charge exorbitant interest and fees like $50 start up, $5 monthly administration, $15 default fee, $6 to send a letter. Goods are sometimes not delivered, misdescribed and usually of cheap and very poor quality. A lot of the clothes made by slaves in China will rot after a few washes. Whiteware (Dishwashers, Washing machines etc) are cheap brands like HAIER and usually have no guarantees. Most custmers are very financially illiterate, have health problems and live off state welfare.

.

People use them as theys ay they don't have a car, don't have cash and like the fact they cometo the door and talk them into buying stuff they can't afford. They will charge massive fees if they miss a payment and repossess goods. The worst will do sell it forward, which is where people pay cash up front in payments and halfway through the process will only buy the item. Prices of good are at least 3 or 4 times higher than the shops. Virtually all of the owner opeartors are immigrant Indians and Chinese, generally Whites and fellow Polynesians will not get into such an odious industry.

.

So do you guys have these there, like some truck in Compton selling knock off NBA singlets for $100 each on time payment of $50 for a CD of 2pac and it truns out to be a 25 cent Chinese bootleg that rots after 4 plays. The people running the trucks, will buy goods wholesale and make huge mark ups on them. Its all part of the larger poverty industry, loan sharking, pay day loans, pawnbrokers, ghetto food stores, $2 shops and overpriced Christmas hamper companies like Crisco.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
