I hope people smuggle in some cameras so I can bittorrent it. I don't care if Lucasfilm sends a copyright violation to my ip. The Lloyd Center Mall theater in Portland (Oregon's biggest mall!) isn't playing it. mad

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

to this day I still can understand the anger of some (many?) fans when the saw (and heard) the ewoks for the first time, but I think the sequences with Jabba the Hutt, the speeder chase, the attack on the Death Star II, Han Solo blasting dozens of imperial troopers, the Luke-Vader-Emperor arch, were more than enough to keep EVERYONE satisfied...

I agree that there are still enough ingredients that make it interesting and worth watching, IF you can convince yourself to simply ignore the flaws. so yeah, I still watch it too. but honestly, personally I'd even give the prequel trilogy the slight edge over ROTJ, especially Part III

ROTJ still would fit better in a trilogy packaged with Caravan of Courage and Battle For Endor... Ha! that would let ANH and ESB stand all on their own, as two single landmark movies

So so tired of Tatoonie. The Falcon looks like it got refitted.

ugh

the teaser is MEH

mainly because it shows NOTHING

that dark lightsaber looks...forced, confused unlike Darth Maul's double-bladed lightsaber which was an INSTANT classic; possibly the villian from this film will be a maverick force user hell bent on resurrecting the legacy of the dark side...and falling in the process (a plot done to death in the now non-canon old Expanded Universe)

I assume the empire is still kind of active...those are stormtroopers, right?

the CGI looks alright...not that different from 2005 though

overall: not excited, but not worried either

This was filmed in the same forest as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1.

The first spinoff film in 2016 (highlight to read) is rumored to be a Death Star plan heist film.

That lightsabre cross guard looks dangerous and pointless.

If I was the director, writer, I'd put in a scene where Han gets to right a great wrong and shoots someone FIRST!

This shot looks like a video game cut scene. I wasn't blown away or horribly disappointed. It just seemed to be there. It's funny that everyone thought Abrams was going to rely more on practical effects only to have the trailer filled with cgi.
