Hmm, i don't know. I stopped buying anybody's cooked chicken when it went from approx. $.80 a piece to $2.00 a piece, and with commercial chickens being breed smaller, I'll cook my own and keep it in the freezer.

I dunno if this is a Canada-wide thing, but KFCs where I am have neither buttermilk biscuits nor the assortment of non-carb sides that KFCs in the States have. Once I learned that, their chicken didn't even matter to me. talk to the hand

Here in India, I got SICK after eating KFC THREE bloody times! They gave me stale fries. Goddamn them!

I have no idea what "Popeye's" is.

Domainator2010, here is a link to the Popeye's website. Unfortunately, the do not have any locations in India - but surprisingly seem to be everywhere else. They are known for their "cajun" twist on fast-food chicken. http://popeyes.com/

Adorecream

Here they don't even use that many boxes any more, in early 2014 most items were put in paper bags made out of grease proof lining and the chicken in a bag made of the same material with foil like lining on the inside.

.

Buckets are used for most promos and they will put everything in it, fries salads, coleslaw, potato and gravy etc.

.

We don't have the biscuits (Scones here - a biscuit in NZ and the British world is a cookie). The only sides are fries, chicken strips, popcorn chicken, potato and gravy, coleslaw, rolls and Pepsi drinks.

.

We have burgers too, colonel stacks and snack buger. Grilled chicken was tried 2 years ago, but was a flop and only a few outlets still have them.

.

KFC has a ghetto reputation here too, there are racist jokes about Maoris and Samoans eating too much of it, and jokes about Samoans, Tongans and Cook Islanders smuggling it in flights back home. Despite this it is very expensive like over $2 a piece of chicken which could be a wing, drumstick, breast and leg. A quarter pack upsized to large (2pcs chicken, fries, drink, a rollette, small potato and gravy) is like $15 now. A 10 pc bucket with 2 sides is $30. That is not even cheap and yet you have to drive into hood ass areas just to buy the shit.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I was waiting for someone to mention Harold´s . lol

Good stuff. I mean, for those who are into this kind of food. Much better than KFC, and they have some interesting stuff on their menu.

You know what´s good.

Homie we indulged in so much fried chicken that you don´t even remember that we went to Popeye´s twice ...at least twice. Remember, there was this ghettoish Popeye´s that you didn´t want to go to but I insisted on it.

And we had Harold´s chicken with that African "shito" hot sauce that I brought with me. lol

So, so hotttttttt...

lol

falloff I guess! I was thinking more of the "Batman" motif for kpowers. Here is another chicken-related story:

I was a season-ticket holder for the Houston Rockets from 1975 to about 2005. I have seen everything - 2 NBA championships, a Game 7 NBA championship game against the Knicks, All-Star games, whatever.

But do you know the loudest roar I ever heard at a Rockets game?

Well, it was the Game 7 win against the Knicks, of course! But a close second was the first time Mike Dunleavy won the entire arena free chicken!

In the late '70's, a local chicken chain called Ron's Crispy Fried Chicken had a promotion whereby everyone with a ticket stub got a free fried chicken lunch if the Rockets scored 135 points in a game. They did it three times, and Mike Dunleavy scored the 135th point each time.

I will NEVER forget the first time. We were cheering our heads off and Dunleavy drove the length of the court for a lay-up that put us at 135. You never heard such a roar for free chicken!

That chicken looks like the bomb, but the fries don't even look promising. They look like those fries that used to come in the box in the fozen food section of the grocery store, or am I telling y'all I'm an old ass broad? lol

Believe me Harold´s fries are really good. Not as good as Five Guys, but still good. And not too salty.

When I lived in Upland, CAand Worked in Pomona, CA me and my roommate often hit up the Donahoo's:

Very homestyle, very fresh...very good. They had gizzards and livers too...I passed on those...but the rolls were outta this world.

Be it strips, or on-the-bone...

Donahoo's = FUCKIN GOOD.
