Graycap said he couldn't get though one episode. Phunkdaddy said same here and you said "Yeah that" which means you agree. Why say "Yeah that" if you don't really agree and could make it through more than one episode?

As someone who was anxiously awaiting Agents of SHIELD last year, Gotham is off to a much better start creatively. I think part of the difference has to do with the storylines. With SHIELD, you had a team of agents who worked with the Marvel Comics superhero universe to stop threats from other evildoers, and because SHIELD is so tied into the superheroes, viewers were expecting to see some superhero action in the series but got none. Plus the clunky way they brought out the characters behind SHIELD turned a lot of people off.
Contrast that with Gotham. Gotham may be the origins story for Batman, but we obviously won't be seeing any caped crusader here because he's still a boy in this series. Even so, the mystique behind Batman was that Bruce Wayne did not have superhuman powers; he was just good with martial arts and gadgetry. On top of that, the rogues gallery of villains were equally as strong as Batman and in some cases more interesting. As a series, they will obviously have to tell the "bad guy of the week story", but they also have the luxury of weaving in the origin stories of Penguin, the Riddler, Catwoman, and Posion Ivy. We know from the comics that the Joker (pre-disfigurement) murdered Bruce Wayne's parents, and that the Joker was disfigured by Batman later on. I'm wondering how they will weave the pre-disfigured Joker into the series as well as Ra's Al Ghul, Bane, and Scarecrow. I'm also sure Harvey Dent is going to be introduced as Gotham's new state's attorney sometime this season.
I didn't know that
my kid said to me that guy with the glasses (bottom right on OP photo) will be a villain - he reckons The Riddler, because he starts every sentence with a question. Not that he knows his DC at all, we are a Marvel family I'm the mistake you wanna make |

No they didn't. The blonde turned her head away as the brunette (WHO NEEDS TO DIE!!!) tried to kiss her.
Killing people by hooking them to weather balloons is brilliant, I gotta get me some. |
