Reporter quits job on-air to help legalize marijuana in Alaska

Wow..........if she ever wants 2 get back into TV, this may stop her efforts in their tracks.

To see the video:

http://thegrio.com/2014/09/22/reporter-quits-legalize-marijuana/

Her full remarks are below:

Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.

FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

Her unprofessional "exit" just burned her many bridges in the event that her "marijuana" business fails.

Ehhh...so how is she going to make any money with pot if it is still illegal there? And won´t her confession put her in legal trouble now? Not to mention the fact that her employer might sue her, too.

If it's her choice to do a career change, then by all means, I'm all for that, but to say "fuck it" on national television while you are on the job is just plain ole dumb. The number one rule in business is to never burn bridges. You may never know if you may have to re-enter a previous career choice for whatever reason. That's just like me going into my boss' office and saying "fuck it" i'm out of here. Do you really think that if my "follow my heart" career didn't pan out the way that I wanted it to that he would ever offer me a job if I needed to come back? Hell no. And word travels pretty quickly. So while I say yay for her following whatever career she wants (in this case that of marijuana), I say that she was really dumb for choosing a dick way of doing it.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Sure, but maybe it's not a good idea to do it in such a way as to burn all your bridges.

I think it's great. She looked pissed off and did what she wanted. We all know the American media is a bunch of propoganda and it looks like she realised it. She obviously doesn't care about getting a job back in the mainstream media! She'll be fine and probably very happy for getting out to pursue what she wants.

nod ITA. There is a right way to leave your job and a wrong way to leave. She chose the wrong way. She's getting a lot of attention in the press right now, but choosing to quit like that will come to bite her in the backside sooner or later.
