I went out at lunchtime and the temp is actually cooler than it was this morning!

I was just looking at a Sunset magazine and had to laugh at myself. Every year at Fall I always make a resolution to try to add more squash to my diet, I do try but I seem to fail miserably. But they say try and try again until you succeed, so here I go again. I did discover an awesome pumpkin lasagna last year so maybe that'll become a staple this year. The mag also reminded me this is an excellent time to repaint the walls some insane color I've always wanted, saw this awesome yellow and it's becoming a little buzzing bee in the brain. I've never been into yellow but this shade really popped for me and I want it.

Well, that is my only real indicator of Fall along with the calendar so I just roll with it. I live in the land of evergreens, eucalyptus and palm trees, ain't a whole lot of color change going on. This year not a lot blooming happened this year either, I think that's affecting my mood, I look forward to the wild daisies, I hardly seen any this year. Use to be school beginning but I've have a few years reprive from that until the next generation comes along.

Wish I liked wine, Julian, along with the apple picking would be exceptionally interesting this year since they've now gotten into vineyards and wine making, but I'm not so that's a wash.

^^^ I have a painting project to start myself, now that the cooler weather seems to have settled in.

We are coming into spring here, but apart from the grass and a few flowers, its still pretty wintry, stark trees, on and off rain and clouds.

Fortunately it does not snow where I am, and cold cold winter days have highs of like 11 or 12 degrees (Low 50s to you Americans). Then again warm warm ones have highs of 18 or 19 (Mid 60s). Now its September it pretty much gets to the 60s every day, but we have to wait until November for the days to reach the 70s.

Our winter was mild, but very wet, with 4 major floods in the past 2 months. Our weather is never cold, just unsettled. For an American equivalent, think San Fran or Oakland, but with more rain.

Autumn is my favourite season, Easter eggs and my birthday, plus our autumns have the most settled and mild weather of the year. April and early May have perfect weather, clear and about 20 - 22 degrees (70f) most days. Mid May sees the rain and the return of winter. So enjoy your fall guys, the leaves changing colour is the highlight for me.
