Tony gunned it. Not saying he wanted to kill the man. Saying he wanted to scare the kid but he royally f'd-up. What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

If ever there was a case of "We don't know enough about anything to properly opine!" this is it...
One way or another it's a tremendous tragedy and my heart goes out to the familys of ALL involved. A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon |

MY OPINION: That son of a bitch (Tony Stewart) is guilty as charge. And yes, I'm convince that he did wanted to kill that dude.

^^^^ Totally horrific. But we have to go back to basics here, Ward should have NEVER exited his car like that. Whether or not Stewart actually meant to hit him, I don't think one could determine that...but if Ward wasn't out there on the road, literally charging the car on foot, there wouldn't had been anyone to hit. Sad he died though. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I keep hearing there might be rules changes to penalise drivers who get out of their cars while on the track.
You know this is a huge story when even the sports talkies in NYC are discussing it. According to WFAN, no criminal charges will be filed against Stewart.

Dumb, sad, and tempers flaring way beyond the boiling point that has cost a young man his life.
Its been reported the track these men were racing on, is poorly lit. Even so, Stewart gunned his car. Were Stewart's intentions to blow a puff of wind or dirt on Ward as he passed? Maybe. Stewart may have not been able to see or judge how close Ward was to his car/back wheel. Ward I'm sure thought, drivers would take a defensive actions to avoid him too. As missfee said, totally horrific.

I couldn't agree with you more. The driver of the other car, should have never gotten out. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Exactly. By getting out of his car he could of cause more car accidents putting other drivers in danger.

I agree with your assesment RodeoS. I DON"T think Tony Stewart was trying to injure let alone kill anyone. My question is do they have any type of spotters like they do at a typical Nascar race. With the cars being built the way they are and the track poorly lit vision must be limited. I wonder what kind of driver/ pit crew communication they have going on at these type of races? Does anyone have any updates about NASCAR's claims that there's no audio or video (meaning dashcam and their radio) from the incident? I don't want to watch the youtube video at all but the dashcam video might be a critical piece of evidence that apparently hasn't surfaced (yet). Condolences to the other driver's family.... I saw this on the news - still can't believe it! Even though Stewart seems to have a bad temper I really don't think he could have stopped in time - there was another car in the way that would have obstructed his vision RIP to the other young driver . mailto:www.iDon'tThinkSo.com.Uranus

I think we can't speculate, especially since the other driver's family is still grieving. But, it's not far-fetched to think that a person with a bad temper would lose their cool in this kind of situation. I don't want to watch the video but from what I have read, this seems like this could go either way. Trolls be gone!

They were replaying that video over & over & over at a restaurant that I was at on Sunday night. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Yeah, I have avoided that video at all costs. The still shot that I saw of the guy on the track right when he got out of his car scared me enough. Trolls be gone!

It was not as bad as some of the beheading videos. The video of the Toronto killer I avoided. What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?
