This is a subject that is hardly ever touched upon and I have a feeling it happens far more often than is reported. I wonder if young girls who are raped and molested by females go on to struggle with the sexuality the way that men often do when they are molested as young children?

Vanessa Williams, 51, recently appeared on "Oprah's Master Class" on OWN, where she opened up about being molested by an 18-year-old woman when she was 10 years old.

Revealing that it was the summer before fifth grade during a vacation to California with a family friend when the abuse took place, Williams says that the woman was "one of the cool girls" who made her feel like she was a "grown-up."

She then goes into detail about the traumatic incident.

"One night she came into the room where my friend I were sleeping. She told me to lie down on the floor. And she took my bottoms off and she said, 'Be quiet,' and she went down on me," she recalls. "And at 10 years old, I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good, and I knew I shouldn't be saying anything, and I didn't tell anyone."

She later explains how the incident affected her growing up.

"It awakens your sexuality at an age where it shouldn't be awakened," she reflects. "Had that not happened in my life and had I had an opportunity to have a normal courtship with a boyfriend at 16 or whatever ... there wouldn't have been that shame that was always haunting me. It made me more sexually promiscuous and more sexually curious at a younger age than I should have been."

Williams, a former Miss America, previously revealed she had been sexually abused as a child in her 2012 memoir "You Have No Idea."

I didn't know ms. Wiliams had written her bio and I don't watch OWN, I wasn't aware.

Its sad to think so many peopl have embarced others in friendship and as family not knowing they are evil.
